New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi! May I ask how much is the fee? And how long did it take for the recipient to receive the mail from PRC?

fee is cheap, cant remember exactly (guess P300...)... it's the courier cost that is costly.. you choose if you want slow mail or fast mail.. fast mail costs P900 (plus prc fee mentioned).. budget you must, P1,500...

fast mail will reach aus in 7-10 days from date of mailing.. prc processing depending your prc office, davao is quick, less than 5 days, they send it already.. if manila takes 2 weeks, then 2 weeks plus mailing time to reach aus..

hello everyone! I've been reading the previous posts and I must say this is really a helpful thread.

anyone here who's still waiting for the letter of eligibility [or offer, whatever you call it!] like me? I submitted my application in mid-August 2010, was emailed by a registration officer in October confirming that the application was received in late August and informing me that my papers will be assessed in that week [around 5 oct]...i don't know if the 90-day waiting period starts when AHPRA office receives the application OR when a registration officer gets the documents for assessment...

i hope someone with similar experience can share some information...as much as possible i want to make it to january intake of any school in VIC, but i'm having doubts considering the time left before jan...

Hi. Got an email from VCHN, they offered me an extra slot for the February 2011 intake. (I was originally on the June 2011 intake) Anyone taking the same intake?? :)

hi! in which branch did you submit? I received an e-mail from AHPRA NSW around 3rd wk of oct that they received my documents, however, they did not tell me when will i be assessed. as much as possible i also want to get to a BP school in January or first quarter 2011, although the chance is very slim.

Thanks unadunad. :) Good luck with your application!

i submitted my application in vic office...a co-applicant and a friend of mine who also submitted last August was told to wait 60 working days for the result of the assessment...

Thanks unadunad. :) Good luck with your application!

Hello isobelle! Good for you :o I was interested in enrolling in vchn before but apparently there's no more slots available until june. Will have to try other schools then.

I hope you don't mind me asking, when did you receive your acceptance letter? until when is it valid?

Thank you sandy05! :) I am not sure until when its going to be valid, the offer letter I received from them doesn't state that info. Anyway, I received my offer letter on September 24, 2010. I sent my application last August 5, 2010 and they called me for the interview on September 17, 2010. :)

congrats and good luck @isobelle.. nice feeling huh?! ...solved the bank payment problem and moving the june slot to feb.. :-)

@sandy05..... as far as i remember, for those who applied after july 01 under AHPRA, eh nobody yet has been approved, which means we do not have actual record or basis of how long the processing will take place.. everything now is wait and see.. nobody can answer yet the big question, until somebody here gets approved..

@as unadunad said, the waiting mode begins... best of luck to your application unadunad and sandy..

peace..
