Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Yup. I am aware of that. It's what my niece exactly did last year. But me and my wife want the family to be together for the holidays and feel the :redpinkhe while singing "Chestnuts roasting on the open fire....."
Fair enough....do you really roast chestnuts in the Phillipines :lol2:
its hot hot over there, we do not have chestnuts over here and summer is usually too hot to oblige toasting anything. :)
First day of spring today!!

Hahahaha. Yes we do. But I think our chestnuts are imported from China. Come the last quarter of every year, there are big woks at flee markets and places like Greenhills shopping center frying chestnuts. Their smell permeates the whole place and you can close your eyes and imagine being in a Winter Wonderland!!!
hi everyone,
i'm trying to complete the application form 48r for tourist visa subclass 676. can someone advise me how to make the "letter of invitation"?. my cousin, who is a pr, is willing to help me out so i can attach it to my application. it might bolster my chances of getting a 6 or 12 month tourist visa instead of the business short stay subclass 456 that only allows you to stay in aus for up to 3 months at a time.
how do we submit and attach this letter to our application? can an a scanned copy through email do? does it have to be notarized in australia? i think i still have time to attach this to my application end of this week.
any advise will really be appreciated.:)
:heartbeat:up:
:redpinkhe:yeah:
i think you are referring to an 'affidavit of support' and not a 'letter of invitation'. i had one made by sister-in-law before who is a pr in oz.
Thank you for the replies I received regarding my queries on my last post.
Just to share: Well, I am really planning to resit for IELTS whatever result I may receive from AHPRA. My original plan was to have the BSN course before I took the IELTS last Nov 2010, I also had my offer letter from Holmesglen thru IDP Makati. To cut the story short, I decided to try applying for a BP instead. Since the primary requirement is an eligibilty letter from AHPRA, I came up with the requirements but the sad part is I should resit for IELTS again even if I had an over-all band score of 7. (7-7-6.5-8). I already submitted my requirements yesterday and I'm saving money for the IELTS fees :)
May God bless us! :)
hi everyone!
I would like to ask you guys on how you sent your docs to Australia. I have learned that documents need to be separated, 1 envelope each for personal, school and employment docs. Now, I'm somewhat confused if I need to send each envelope separately, say 1 payment for every envelope or can I just place the 3 envelopes inside the fedex plastic bag and send it as a single package?
Your response will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hehehehe. Why do you have to separate the docs in 3 envelopes? Based on AHPRA's guidelines, it's only the PRC Certificate of Good Standing and the IELTS Test Report Form that need to be sent directly, office to office, separate from your other docs. When all your docs, including the PRC and IELTS papers, arrive in the AHPRA office, they will just be consolidated into one file anyway? I am wary that there might be a slim chance some docs might go somewhere else if you put them into 3 different, separate, manila envelopes. :heartbeat:redbeathe:redpinkhe
(Pardon the :heartbeat:redbeathe:redpinkhe beside the . My 4 yr old daughter is sitting beside me and insisted putting all the hearts because they're "pretty" and it means "love". Didn't mean to confuse you.
)
hello.. is this the address I will use if I send my docs by fedex or DHL?
Office Location
Level 1, 541 Hay Street
Subiaco WA 6008
1. Do you guys have any idea how many days will it take before they receive my mail?
2. Do I need to request from my employer for them to send an original copy of my employment certificate to AHPRA?
thanks in advance...

why do you have three envelopes?
the docs that you can not send directly to AHPRA are already written in the application form

I think extending a student visa is irrelevant here because from what I know student visas have a minimum stay of 6 months. BP's are only 3 months long at most.
