Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
hi everyone! i need your help. i have just received a receipt of my application and they told me that i still lack the following document:- certified copy of transcript of training listing the theoretical hours completed in bachelor of science nursing degree
is this different from my official transcript of records? i have submitted a copy of my summary of related learning experience where the subject, descriptive title, no. of weeks, and no. of hours are detailed. is this the document that they want? can somebody show me a sample of this transcript of training that they're asking so that i can show it to my school? please do help me. thanks a lot!
the theoretical hours is different from the rle in hours. that's what happened to me also. just ask from your school to make another certification enumerating the theoretical subjects (as in lecture subjects) you took per sem and put the number of units and number of hours per subject beside. that will be fine.
So you're planning to go to brisbane after your BP is done? that's what i also plan to do since I have my relatives there... thank you so much for sharing this info. :)
Yup. Will definitely go to brisbane after the bp. Anyway, I'm really now confused. I will try to call the Australian Embassy tomorrow and ask about the new development regarding nursing students to only apply for 456 visa and not the 676 visa. I already have a letter of support from my cousin in brisbane that they will provide financial support and accommodations should I require them. I don't know how strict the embassy is right now about this. but even if they grant me a 456 multiple entry visa, I won't have enough time after the bp to visit them.
hi everyone!
i am planning to pass my documents tomorrow. and i really need your help. i have attached the documents that i know i have. but my main problem is filling up agos -04, specially for the following questions: (kindly enlighten me about this, i'm begging you t_t)
question no 6. is your residential address the same as your principal place of practice/employment in australia?
(i'm confused what to write on this item; i'm choosing between my longest employment period but it was not recent, or the one that i'm currently employed to?)
[/i]
question 11. what are the details of your qualifications and examinations/assessments?
(what will i suppose to write? does it include my ielts exam, bachelor's degree and secondary education? or just my registration as a nurse (prc) only?)
your help will be appreciated, as in! :)
tia.. god bless us all!
So maybe I should ask my school to submit the following:>TOR
>RLE summary
>Course Description
Do you think it would be okay for me to ask my school to make a certification which states that my RLE summary contains the info they need regarding theoretical hours, etc?
no, RLE indicatest the number of CLINICAL hours. the course description indicates the number of THEORETICAL hours. by theoretical, meaning hours in the classroom per subject.

Hi! I'd like to ask what type of letter they require? Can It be an email or should the letter be sent via post mail?
Hello everyone. Just want to share what I've heard during the seminar held by Deakin Uni. The duration for their BP is 14 weeks and they are requiring their potential students to apply for a student visa, and the tuition fee is 10k au.Next intake would be on January 2012, yet still to be confirmed.
I was about to apply but they said that their next intake would be on May 2012 instead. They wouldn't be holding a January intake.
