New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi Guys, can someone enlighten me on how to go about the process of application for letter of eligibility to NBV or NMBA in order to take a bridging program? I just have a few questions:

1. Who do I contact regarding this?

2. What are the required papers and qualifications? (I'm a BSN grad, just passed July 2010 NLE, IELTS i will take in November or January, no RN experience yet)

3. How long does it take to receive the letter?

I am planning to study in Adelaide an IRON program. Any school suggestions in Adelaide?

Much thanks!!

lets go straight to the point....... as you mentioned, you read the posts in this thread..

a) in your previous 1st post, you have questions about "what to do" and "requirements"..... the answer to "what to do" was provided in page 01 of this thread, my first post, first paragraph... in fact the 1st sentence already answered your question which i wrote that you should submit your documents/application to AHPRA, etc.... read it again for your benefit....

b) the "requirements" was just recently answered in which you were advised to read glioblastoma's posts and the AGOS in the AHPRA website... thats correct...

1) who to contact? find AHPRA website, click "Contact Us" icon, there you will find the contact number, email and addresses... take time to read and check it out.... warning: DO NOT EXPECT THAT YOUR CALLS OR EMAIL WILL BE REPLIED WITHIN REASONABLE TIME.... might as well not contact them, thats our advice....

2) papers and qualifications? papers, read AHPRA website, the documents are listed there or as advised read glioblastoma's posts... qualifications? read AHPRA website and read agen page 01 of this thread as the issue of qualifications esp. experience, was clearly explained in page 01..

3) how long does it take to receive the letter? ....come on men, this question/issue has just been RECENTLY discussed in the RECENT 5-10 previous pages.... we (me, glioblastoma, haydeeting, etc.) had long discussions on this just recently... read the pages please...

4) studying to adelaide? and i assume you know that adelaide is in South Australia.... men, again read PAGE 01 of this thread, i discussed there "Bridging Program Schools", and i gave some names/abbreviated names of the schools.....

im very sorry... i dont mean to be rude, but it seems i have a menstruation here... Page 01 was written to help newbies, all newbies have to do is read it... and digest it... whew! wherez my captopril....

i understand why you are upset, my apologies! honestly before posting that post, i didn't see the responses on my first post. so i had a feeling someone would react after my second post.

thanks anyway!

is there a way to constantly re-edit the page 1 of this thread so we can add more important details to make it easier for newbies and to minimize the repetition of topics?

The only way to edit something is to ask the staff either via pm, email or help desk.

hi everyone! i just wanna ask, has anyone of you e-mailed AHPRA recently? did you immediately receive a reply? how long did you wait for a reply? i usually e-mail ************* (NSW only) and **** (don't know which branch), and in less than 24 hours i get there reply. however, this past few weeks i don't receive any replies except from *****. but then anna cannot answer my e-mails because she's from the NSW branch and i mailed my application to the Victoria branch. if you know any other e-mails, can you please pm it to me? thanks!

btw, do anyone of you know of the nurse agent position in medicall, makati? do you think AHPRA will count the exp there too? because i'm thinking of applying there since i really cannot continue with my volunteer anymore. it's nearing xmas, i need money and love! ahihi! :redpinkhe :redbeathe :heartbeat

missed one.....

so disappointed with IDP here in Cebu. I requested and paid them to have my IELTS result sent tuesday last week, wasn't given an OR and tracking no. for the 1500 i paid, and when i called today to ask for my tracking no., they still couldn't give me any coz she said it will only be sent today. hmmm.... then if that's the case, it ain't supposed to be what they call "Express mail". imagine taking a week before they can send it out. truly disappointing and frustrating

lesson learned: for those in Cebu, better request for your IELTS result from IDP a week ahead before you send out your docs from PRC and your AGOS form. that way, they'll all arrive in AHPRA almost at the same time.
