Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
what footsteps? that you filed in WA? come to think of it, most of the topics discussed in this thread are all about AHPRA. i've only read a few on WA on part1 of this thread...aaww bummer! (arte hindi bagay saken ang expression na ito ahihi!)
i didnt file in wa... my original nursing board is included in ahpra..
Guys can I please remind you to read theTerms of service I have had to remove names and Tagalog from some posts because that is against the Terms of Service of the site
its Medicall. its a BPO company but they're looking for NCLEX passers/ BSN. the job title is Nurse Agent but not staff nurse. i've yet to know the job description. i'm asking if BP schools would count that as exp if ever AHPRA would let me do BP...
originally you were asking if AHPRA will count the experience... and i provided an answer...
now in this post, you are asking if BP schools would count the experience which is a new question in itself... answer: check the job description, if it involves selling goods (i think they call it "outbound") then i have some doubts... if it is "inbound" particularly receiving calls to give advice to customers of "nursing" matters about company products, perhaps it can be "massaged" to be considered as experience... it boils down to the specific job description...
there are many great positive ways to obtain the 3 months experience that you "need" to reach the 1 year experience benchmark.. good luck...
Hi Guys! I started reading this thread since last night and just registered 5 minutes ago. Everything that I have read were very informative, I have learned and understood a lot, but it also made me much more confused! :confused:This thread made me laugh at most of the users who are so funny! hehe.. Anyway, I am also aspiring to take the bridging program in Australia but have no idea whatsoever on what to do! I have read the AHPRA website already but I do not know the specific requirements needed in order to have a letter of eligibility from them to study a bridging program there. I plan to study in Adelaide.. Can anyone help me on the first step? This is me right now -->

you make feel that way too---> hehe
if you have chanced to read almost all about this thread, you most likely should have been enlightened now, coz cioman have shared and emphasized the first things to do. :)
anyway, find the AGOS form in AHPRA site and read through it. you'll have an overview of the requirements.
then just like what cioman always suggests, come back and 'shoot your questions' here. lol :)

Try to read all the post in this thread, glioblastoma enumerated all the documents needed.
Read and try to understand the application form, questions will be answered by our mates here.

Hi Guys, can someone enlighten me on how to go about the process of application for letter of eligibility to NBV or NMBA in order to take a bridging program? I just have a few questions:
1. Who do I contact regarding this?
2. What are the required papers and qualifications? (I'm a BSN grad, just passed July 2010 NLE, IELTS i will take in November or January, no RN experience yet)
3. How long does it take to receive the letter?
I am planning to study in Adelaide an IRON program. Any school suggestions in Adelaide?
Much thanks!!
