New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I'm glad I learned this earlier.. I wonder why NMBWA did not inform me about this. Is 7 the required band score for registration?

@CERIDWYN..... THANKS AS ALWAYS...

@Fishbowl.... everything started with the need to find work.. so, we/i have to read read research browse the net for information.. been in this thread for almost 2 years already, so it is just normal for me to gain information or knowledge as the years go by.. so nothing special about me or my IQ.. its just that ive been here for a long while..

im just an RN like you wanting to work in Oz...

@Girlash... as Ceridwyn advised, there's an ongoing debate about IELTS under the AHPRA rules, definitely you will be under AHPRA rules by the time you finish your BP, so while waiting for January 2011, you are ryt, better resit the IELTS..

good luck to all..

hi i need your help! im a RN in the Philippines and have no working experience. Im planning to study in Australia and be a RN there. what course am i goint to take?

Hello everyone!!!:D I'm reading this thread for more than a weeks now but this will be my first post hehe. I just want to ask if after you finish the BP is there a guarantee that you will land a nursing job in there????? That's my very important question I hope it will be answered because 10,000AUD for BP is too much and plus your visa,documents,food,apartment,etc...

No, but it sounds like Australia is the last place on earth that is offering anything. Is there anyone out there that is a boss or assistant boss and could guarantee jobs?
