Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi guys :-) would really appreciate ur 2 cents on this one. What kind of evidence do we need to provide regarding "Evidence of your secondary education to the requisite level, taught, and assessed in English". Is it a diploma from the school? a certificate? a letter from the principal?. I'am aware that I might have to take an IELTS exam but just being the perfectionist that i'am, I want to provide them with all the evidence as necessary. By the way, I'am already in Australia so it might be difficult for me getting all these things again waaaaaaaaahhhh. Oh well, what are families for huh? thanks to everyone who replies :-)
It's just a letter, from your high school and college, stating that the medium of instruction is in English. You don't need to submit that if you were to submit an IELTS result
Hi, with ETEA, I sent my application in 20 Jul. They initially asked me if I wanted to take the slot for the Jan 2012 intake as the October intake is already full, I didn't reply immediately as I was waiting for other schools to respond. Surprisingly, they sent me a Letter of Offer for the October intake the other day. ETEA is so close to where my relatives live but like joiemike, it wasn't my first choice because of the tuition fee.Btw, God is so good as He gave me another choice - AAON. I'm just waiting for my 456 visa, hoping for it to be with a "with further stay" clause, or better yet, a multiple entry.
And much more important, hoping for it to come on time, as the program starts 8 Sept.
So to everyone, keep on praying. All will be well in God's precious time. :)
HI Ising...I might try for AAON TOO. will be sending copies via email tomorrow. how do you know which visa they require? La trobe requires Student visa, how about AAON? when did you do your medicals, before or after Visa? this is quite confusing for me really. hope to hear from you soon. and good luck !
Hello guys!!! Can anyone please advice me on this....Which visa must I apply for? the oficier in the embassy in Cebu thinks I may apply for a tourist visa which can be good for 6-12months.. Has anyone tried to apply for tourist visa for the BP and got approved??
Or is the 456visa the only visa applicable for us??
Please reply guys...=)
