Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi help me about this please.
ive received a letter from them just yesterday and asking this...i dont know why i need it if ive already passed my tor and course description...
certified evidence of your nursing qualification. transcript of training must display at least 800hours of both theoretical and clinical (each). please note current copy we have received does not state theory hours and pharmacology subject. please forward a revised copy of transcript including theory hours and pharmacology subject.
Hello everyone, I would just like to ask some of the knowledgeable people here... Ahpra e-mailed me about my Application form and required me to pass another one. according to them, i should answer question number 17 on the AGOS form "YES"... I'am not really familiar with "professional indemnity insurance" so i ticked no/na... can some people enlighten me on this matter? thank you so much!

this is just saying that you will carry some sort of a Liability Insurance to cover your nursing practice. i guess its mandatory so you just have to tick yes.

does your transcipt or course description cover the requirements ie: state how many theory hours you have done and clinical you must have done 800 for each, your school must send this statement and also no pharmcology subject is on your tor or course description....must have pharmacology as well, if you have done a pharmacology subject get a certified copy from your school also. so ahpra want a certified copy showing theory hours, clinical hours and description of a pharmacological subject and send it into them soon or they might say its an abandoned application.

what i did before passing my docs to wa was to request form our schools' registrar a tor as well as a copy of the number of lec/lab in hours... i think you would just have to request your school to send your docs to ahpra.. the same thing happened to my classmates who now are eligible...
for the nursing subjects as a whole. 800 theory, 800 practising (at least) many universities have much more.
whew. thanks.
when I saw the post, i thought that's per subject and not the totality. I grabbed the copy of my transcript only to find out that my per subject hours is less than that. lol.
