Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

To those of you who went to CON for the BP, were you still interviewed prior to being given a slot?
I've just received the letter from CON which I have to show to the embassy here in Manila. Now I'm not sure on what visa to apply for. 456 or 676? Hmmm....

Hi everyone.i also sent my docs last week of june. Received acknowledgement that they receive my docs 1st week of july and cc was charged as well. Now waiting for further correspondence from aphra vic. Congrats to all who receive there eligibility letter. By the way what does CON mean? Andwhere is it located
hello ilove83080.... Its just the same as applying in other states like vic... you just have to send your application and the required documents to the ACT address...
Lord, help us with all our applications.. I wish I will receive a communication from AHPRA soon I actually sent mine near June 1st week and they already receive my documents and US Registration but they asked me to send a Good Standing from US. Guys, if you didn't practice your profession in US. Will they send a Good Standing for you? I hope my evaluating officer would still evaluate me with or without the Vermont GS. I mean many people applied some only used local credentials, some only used 3 months experience, and some with NCLEX & CGFNS but were never questioned.

you might want to try emailing them asking if you can have your application transferred to another state... I tried doing that since I didn't think ACT was fast, so I emailed them asking if I could have them send my application to WA, but to God's glory they told me my application is being done that day...

Hi there Mhai! I contacted CON last July 13, a day after I received my eligibility letter from AHPRA Victoria by email. Scanned and sent my application form and other requirements (via email too) last July 14. My aunt in Sydney paid the fee on July 18. Then yesterday the person in charge (from CON) sent me the letter that I'm supposed to show the embassy. So that's like a week of processing. BUT I am not sure if they will still interview me for a placement/slot or what. I'm assuming that since they already accepted our payment, it means that I already have a slot for the September intake. But I'm not that certain though...
Anybody who went to CON who was still interviewed?
By the way Mhai, where are you planning on going for your BP?
Wow... that's really fast... im not sure if I'll apply in CON... my aunt is in Vic and I'm hoping to stay with her during my BP to save money... Now, im thinking maybe I should apply...hehe I still have to ask my parents about this.. their application fee is quite expensive too...huhu:cry:
But 1week is really fast... did they say in the letter that your intake will be this september? Did they send the letter through email of snailmail??=) im sscared of snailmails not reaching our province already after what I encountered....:uhoh21:
