New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Congratulations to all those who got their eligibility letters! :yeah:

Hi every one just want to share with you the good things happened to me.I apply to AHPRA last June 08,2011 had my acknowledgement le and June 29 and finally my decision letter yesterday. This is only 48days processing time..So my dear colleagues apply to WA as they process this past and less additional requirements.I was not asked of any additional aside from the one we sent.

Also the decision letter is valid for 2years.Another blessing is that I got a financing institution to pay for my BP tuition with the lowest interest and payment starts after BP.Praise the Lord! Indeed He is good all the time.

So my dear nurses let us do our best and God will do the rest..

Do you get said full-time sponsored job after BP? to pay for loan?

I came across an advisory in the NMBWA website that they have extended the BP elgibility to 3 years. It was a very bad decision for me to procrastinate, well I was a bit confident because I have another year to complete my BP and besides all of the accredited hospitals offering BP I enquired with were not accepting applicants til late of 2010 (or maybe I just didn't try hard enough). So I told myself to try the 2011 intake not knowing that by the middle of the year, the policies were changed. Well, on the part of NMBWA, they did not send any communication regarding the changes as what they stated in the eligibility letter. Now I'm back to zero.

I'm sorry to hear about that, but if its any consolation, I didn't receive any updates on the changes as well. Just don't give up and try harder next time! Cheers!

I have a question, when you go to CON this September,

What you gonna do with all that junk? All that junk inside your trunk? Can I get, get, get you drunk? :D

Hey guys!! I got my eligibility too... My registration officer told me the letter was posted last june 16 but it never reached me.. I had to let her send me an email and post the mail for the 2nd time... Of all the mails that could get lost, it had to be this...:smackingf:smackingf:

Anyways, I told them to post the 2nd letter to my aunt's place in Vic... Just so I can be sure it will be received... I hope they send it soon...

BTW, ACT is really fast too... sent my requirements last may10 and my letter was dated june16 so it was just a little over a month of processing... And they never questioned me about my NCLEX and CGFNS...=) To God be the glory!! God bless us all!!

Congrats Mhai! :) and to everyone who got their eligibility letters :) :yeah:

Wow! Congrats! Super blessed indeed :)

Congratulations to everyone who got their eligibility letters! I'm still waiting for mine. I called AHPRA and they told me that my documents are still on queue, waiting for the case manager to see it. I hope NSW has a fast processing time, too. Who among you sent your application to NSW? :)
