New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

I tried to apply for enrollment with them Feb of this year while waiting for my AHPRA letter. They processed my application and interviewed me over the phone. Hence, I have a pre-approved enrollment already pending the AHPRA letter. I have forwarded to them the letter last week and asked if I can be accommodated in the Sept intake. I'm just waiting for their response if I still can get in. I hope they can still accommodate me though. Will know for sure this week. :uhoh3:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :yeah::yeah::yeah:

That's such great news!

So happy to hear that you finally have your approval. (been reading your tweets since I joined the forum ;) )

And thanks for all the info you've shared here. :)

Got my eligibility today after almost 3 months of waiting...Woohooo! Thinking of going to ETEA, CON, Castlemaine, La Trobe or INHA...

What are the immunisation requirements by ETEA? i don't quite understand it. Do we need to pass titer results for these or is a certification that we had these vaccinations from a local doctor enough?

Hello mookie... which state did you send your application? :) Congrats!!

Hey guys!! I got my eligibility too... My registration officer told me the letter was posted last june 16 but it never reached me.. I had to let her send me an email and post the mail for the 2nd time... Of all the mails that could get lost, it had to be this...:smackingf:smackingf:

Anyways, I told them to post the 2nd letter to my aunt's place in Vic... Just so I can be sure it will be received... I hope they send it soon...

BTW, ACT is really fast too... sent my requirements last may10 and my letter was dated june16 so it was just a little over a month of processing... And they never questioned me about my NCLEX and CGFNS...=) To God be the glory!! God bless us all!!

Sent mine in Vic. Haha. And based on others who sent it there, looks like it's gonna be 7 months or more. I just sent last week the additional docs they asked.

Were you asked to send additional documents as well?

I see... I have read from someone here who got theirs after 5 months i think...hehe

Nope... they never asked me to send anything... and I never had a case officer to update my application... I had to call them every 2 weeks just to ask for updates... They just processed the documents i sent... and then made the decision, I guess...

Hey guys....

I just would like to ask those who had already applied for BP.... How long does it take for the schools to respond after you send them the documents?

To those who applied in IHNA, MERCY HEALTH, La Trobe, Deakin and other schools did they reply to you right away and scheduled an interview??
