Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Now lets use critical thinking skills here, do you want registration as a Registered Nurse....Yes.....did you train overseas.......yes....seems the AGOS-04 form is for you to FILL in!
Are BP and IRON the same? at the start of this thread, I read a very helpful information on bridging program but around in the 80th or something page, I came across this IRON. Can somebody enlighten me? Thank you.
Bridging Program = Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses = Assessment of Competence Program
hello! i'm new here and for starters, I have read some of the messages about the new registration process for nurses. Could anybody clarify on whether or not the time for overseas nurses who have an approval from NMBWA and needs to complete a BP has been extended from 2 to 3 years? Has anybody heard such news?
I came across an advisory in the NMBWA website that they have extended the BP elgibility to 3 years. It was a very bad decision for me to procrastinate, well I was a bit confident because I have another year to complete my BP and besides all of the accredited hospitals offering BP I enquired with were not accepting applicants til late of 2010 (or maybe I just didn't try hard enough). So I told myself to try the 2011 intake not knowing that by the middle of the year, the policies were changed. Well, on the part of NMBWA, they did not send any communication regarding the changes as what they stated in the eligibility letter. Now I'm back to zero.
I have submitted my requirements to APHRA but I'm quite anxious with my situation.
I am HBsAg positive since 2001 meaning I am a chronic carrier of Hepatitis B. I probably got this because we shared razor shave in the dormitory back in college. But my doctor told me that I am of low infectivity. In fact, my children nor my wife did not contract the disease.
I don't drink alcoholic beverages (which can harm my liver) and I'm not promiscuous.
My question is: Is there a chance for me to work in Australia as a nurse?
Hi guys, Is there any one here who will take their BP at ETEA or ACFE maybe this September? Kindly PM me. It would be great if I will have a Filipino classmate
Hi, I'm also wanting to get to ETEA or ACFE this Sept. Just a question, how did you send payment of application fee to ETEA? ACFE is through credit card, with ETEA I don't know.
