New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Wow! Praise God for these positive developments.Congratulations to all who received their eligibility confirmations!

Hi every one just want to share with you the good things happened to me.I apply to AHPRA last June 08,2011 had my acknowledgement le and June 29 and finally my decision letter yesterday. This is only 48days processing time..So my dear colleagues apply to WA as they process this past and less additional requirements.I was not asked of any additional aside from the one we sent.

Also the decision letter is valid for 2years.Another blessing is that I got a financing institution to pay for my BP tuition with the lowest interest and payment starts after BP.Praise the Lord! Indeed He is good all the time.

So my dear nurses let us do our best and God will do the rest..

Congrats! You are indeed superblessed! hehehe.. anyway, can you share the name of that financing institution?

Hey guys....

I just would like to ask those who had already applied for BP.... How long does it take for the schools to respond after you send them the documents?

To those who applied in IHNA, MERCY HEALTH, La Trobe, Deakin and other schools did they reply to you right away and scheduled an interview??

I'm trying to apply at La Trobe right now because i intend to take my BP early next year..I'll inform you after I finish sending my application.

it's raining ELIGIBILITY guyz! and soon.. REGISTRATIONS too! :)):yeah::yeah::yeah:

Godbless us all :)

@ Sweet_toothRN

I have a question, when you go to CON this September,

What you gonna do with all that junk? All that junk inside your trunk? Can I get, get, get you drunk? :D

You can see me, you can't squeeze me. I ain't easy, I ain't sleazy :dancgrp:

Who's going to CON, guys?

Congrats to those who got their Eligibility Letter ,indeed God is good. And for us who are still waiting for that precious lettere from AHPRA let us remain positive. :yeah:

Going to Con was never the way I planned, not my intention

I got so brave, drink in hand, lost my discretion

It's not what I'm used to, just wanna try you on

I'm curious for you caught my attention

I kissed Sweet_toothRN and I hate it, the taste of her expired chapstick

I kissed Sweet_toothRN just to try it, I hope AHPRA don't mind it

It felt so wrong, it felt so yuck, don't mean I'm gonna puke tonight

I kissed Sweet_toothRN and I hate it, I really hate it

Hello. I am new here. I've been reading this thread ever since I applied to AHPRA last March.

A few days ago, I received also my eligibility letter. However, I realized that there are no available BP courses in Queensland.

Can you guys help? I am now looking for a good BP provider in Melbourne.

Which is better IHNA or ETEA? Are there still available slots for both of the mentioned BP providers?

Thanx guys. Congrats to those who have received their letters.

which among the bp providers are the cheapest?

are the uni's (deakin, la trobe) more expensive than etea and ihna?

i'm concerned with accomodation as well. i don't have relatives in melbourne. which bp provider can offer the best on-site/on-campus accomodation?

thanks again. I hope to enrol this year. I hope to see you guys in melbourne, so that we can all help each other achieve our ultimate goal: registration!

:)

Congratulations to everyone who got their eligibility letters! I'm still waiting for mine. I called AHPRA and they told me that my documents are still on queue, waiting for the case manager to see it. I hope NSW has a fast processing time, too. Who among you sent your application to NSW? :)

Hi zon,

I also sent my docs to NSW last june 10th and still havent heard from them:cool:

I sent them an email and they said that ishould wait for 4-6 weeks to have a initial reaply, however it´ll be 6 weeks tomorrow that i sent my application and I´m starting to get worried:uhoh3:

I´m so disheartened:idea: I should have sent my docs to WA....

When did u send yours?
