New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

by the way.. i have sent you a private message zdane..=)

what visa should we apply for the BP and how much is the show money?

thanks

Hi everyone! I just received my eligibility letter yesterday. It is the best birthday gift this year! :) I am now looking for a school so that I can enroll ASAP. To all those who had their visas approved, how much show money is required by the immigration and how long did it stay in your bank accounts? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations my dear. When did you submit your documents?

Im a complete newbie here, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping to pursue a BP at VCHN this year.

I would like to ask if I need to arrange a sub 456 visa first at VIA before submitting my documents to AHPRA and I'd like to ask if I can pay the fees to AHPRA by my BDO account?

You need first an eligibility letter from APHRA so that you can apply to VCHN for their BP program. You need to pay their Bp tuition fee before you can apply for 456 Visa. Most of us here used credit card.

Thank you _ unadunad_ for your speedy responce

I guess I got a lot of things to know, I have completed the AHPRA form and had documents completed. I'll have to send this next week (MAY)

May I ask have you finished your BP? and Im also concerned about the tuition fees can you pay it installment basis and accomodation? I have no relatives in Australian and doing this on my own. May I also ask about the cost of living in Melbourne.. does anyone know how much for a student budget per month? thank you for time and consideration this would mean a lot to me.

To old hard headed forumers and to new forumers, kindly read page 01, several of the recent questions are answered there.. that's the reason page 01 was written free without fee for you..

unadunad answered your questions earlier..

you can ask a relative to "use" his/her credit card for your AHPRA payment, and just pay him/her then.. paying in credit card is a lot easier for you and for AHPRA to process..

no installment payment, all are paid upfront prior start of course..

do not limit your choice with Melbourne, because you cannot control everything, you might be enrolled in another city.. nonetheless the cost of living of Melbourne is basically the same with other major cities.. major expense will be your accommodation, this really is the most crucial thing.. once you get a good place and a cheaper one, then everything will just fall in their places...

other members can answer you specifically, but i reckon your weekly expense will be @ $200-$300 in the city (others can correct my estimate if it is wrong).. to be accurate, compute things by WEEKLY, not by monthly..

i do not normally check my email.. better send private message or post here so that others can help you.. most of the people here process their own application, and i think majority here also have no relatives in Oz...

good luck..
