Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

guys.. i have a question.. more or less, how much did you spend to gather all your documents, have it certified, notarized, etc, and then have it sent to AHPRA? all the fees you incurred during the process, like going to PRC to have the good moral certificate sent to Australia, to IDP to have IELTS result sent, courier costs to have documents shipped.. etc. If possible, can you itemize it? I hope you get what I mean =) Thank you very much in advance! ♥

I just had my documents sent last Thursdayso I can still recall how much I paid for it. For the certification of my papers, it's 100php per page. That's what I paid for, I don't know from other lawyers if they charge more or less because I just went to one lawyer because I'm too tired to go to others and compare prices. I used a private courier to send my docs to AHPRA and I was charge 1,300+php. It probably actually depends from where you are located. They have probably charge me more bacause I'm from Visayas. Well, with regards to the PRC and IELTS papers, that's my problem. I have not yet requested for such because the PRC office is far and I have yet to schedule when I'm going there.
Anyways, to those who had already sent their documents to AHPRA as well as their PRC Certificate of Good Standing and IELTS TRF. Any of you here has tried requesting for IELTS TRF by just sending it through a courier and attached a manager's check for the payment? What name did you place in the check? Is it IDP Education Pty. Ltd.? I tried emailing them but I did not receive any reply from them yet. I hope someone can help me.
can i please remind members that this is a professional website and as per terms of service we request that text talk is not used. remember if moving to a country where language exam is required (english in this case) written is usually part of the test and this is a good place to practice writing in clear english. also when writing at work most hospitals will have a list of accepted abbreviation and if not on the list you will be expected to write clearly.
please do not type entirely in capitals as considered shouting on the internet! desiring to maintain professionalism, text speak (also known as chatspeak, txtspk, texting language or txt talk) is discouraged. along with using proper english spelling and punctuation, this shows respect for the owner, other bulletin board members & guests and makes it easier to read your important thoughts.

@cioman94, i agree with you. those who want to be an RN in oz must have the money. so instead of worrying if i'll ever land a job after bp, while applying for jobs, i'll ask my classmates in oz to tour me to nice places! (but i don't have the money)
