Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Is it advisable to apply elsewhere (Singapore, Gulf countries) while waiting for AHPRA's evaluation and decision regarding the application for registration as a nurse, since there are tons of applicants and it will really take a lot of time? (just asking for opinions :))Merci beaucoup d'avance!

it depends on your contract...
Hi there...
i'm newbie here...is that ok if i join this forum sharing information with u guys...
i'm Diah RN from Indonesia
I wanna ask whether is that true that there is NO chance at all for overseas nurses to get scholarship for his/her BP unless he/she already has permanent resident??
and is there someone who can share his/her experiences getting a sponsorship to pay BP and ur accomodation things???
because honestly, up til now i'm still figuring it out, how to collect much money to pay my BP if AHPRA approves my application...
please if one of u can give me an advice regarding my problems
thank you in advance...
any comment are welcome :-)
has anyone from this thread applied to AHPRA South Australia? thank you.
cant remember anyone here, but what i only know is that RN Oz1 applied/got her license in SA prior AHPRA.. my new RN colleague in our nsg home, she started BP prior AHPRA but finish the BP under AHPRA.. of course, ARNTP is the BP that i remember available there, cant remember other BP schools, dementia me..
I was wondering where I should request for my IELTS exam result to be passed directly to AHPRA.? can you guys help me out? Another thing would be the qualifications obtained and what's the scope of the bridging programs? Does that include seminars? Thanks a heaps..
i am sorry, could you clarify your questions highlighted above...
are you asking what "qualifications" you need in order to be accepted in Bridging Programs (BP)? is that the question?
scope of the BP? are you asking what is the content of the BP? well, BP will comprise classroom lectures and hospital clinical placements... are you asking for the detailed contents of BP? that's a long discussion for me to type them right now..
seminars? what do you wanna know? are you referring what you will right in your resume for AHPRA?
by the way, hope you read the page 01 of this thread..
peace be with you!

and is there someone who can share his/her experiences getting a sponsorship to pay BP and ur accomodation things??? ...there is one here who got "sponsorship" or actually financial assistance (to be paid later) and that is because he is a PR..
because honestly, up til now i'm still figuring it out, how to collect much money to pay my BP if AHPRA approves my application... i apologize, but the reality is, the first qualification for anyone who wants to become a Australia RN (not Australian RN) is to have money..
please if one of u can give me an advice regarding my problems
