New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Can someone share their Statement of Service? Or even just the format. Any? *begging*

Thanks :)

your question was answered already...

just a reminder... the format may vary in each hospitals or institutions, but as much as you can, just don't forget the following items (if you can get them to type such items):

- number of hours

- "full time" registered nurse trainee/volunteer/employee

in addition, the statement of service should be signed by either the nurse manager or the hr manager. Include contact numbers and email add and of course it should be on official letter head. good luck :)

prc said they wont be issuing any certificate aside good standing if you just recently passed the boards. they said good standing is already an evidence that one is registered as a professional in the philippines. :(

oh dear this sucks:uhoh3:

the same happens here in Brazil...thats why I still havent submitted my docs to AHPRA yet...

I´ll do exactly wht Cioman advised: collect as much certificates as we can (including the one saying the the PRC is being issued) and pray for God and his Angels to open the path for us!:redbeathe

got the letter from aphra yesterday finally after 7 months.. now the hunt for bridging course begins :)

did i mention before that i applied thru aphra qld? and that it was a huge dilemma for me considering that there is no bp yet in qld, the good news is, it is anticipated that a bridging course will be available early this year..it makes me even happier! just a prefect b-day gift for me, hehe.. yeah today's my bday! have a great day everyone..

congrats to you.. if it took you 7 months.. hmm.. i wonder how many more months' wait i need to do since i just lodged my application last october.

Guys just wanted to remind everyone that processing thru an agency doesnt give u assurance for employment or for faster processing...it is a risk in fact to pay thru an agency...go for the services of idp...it is free...otherwise be sure u make the payment directly to the school by checking their official website...

Friendly reminder...

This post is addressed to excellent pinoy RNs who already have a letters of eligibility to undergo a bridging program in Australia.

I recently have found a pathway for you to be registered as nurses in Oz that would cost you heaps less than the average cost these days.

If you are interested, you can send me a private message.

Please give me your reasons why I should share this information with you. Also, send your complete CV, and outline your skills. You may choose to leave out the names of your school and workplace for privacy reasons. But you need to convince me why I should help you. You may also cite your personal circumstances without necessarily giving information that could reveal your identity.

If you are successful in gaining registration through this pathway, I guarantee that you would want to locate me so you can buy me the fastest and most expensive laptop there is as a gift or something similar because of the money you save. But of course i would refuse such a gift.

I am sorry I cannot share this information to everyone as it would decrease the chances of the less fortunate yet deserving excellent pinoy RNs who aspire to call beautiful Australia their new home.

This information will be shared only to the top 3 pinoy RNs who in my opinion deserve this help.

I have now emptied my inbox.

Good luck

Hi.

I am a newbie here :)

I have been meaning to apply for a nursing/caregiver job in Australia/New Zealand.

Any tips on how to process my application. Anyway, I've never had any hospital/clinical experience.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi laurie, for a start you can read atleast pages 1-3 for the general information you need to know. Then it would really be helpful too if you can find time reading the rest of the pages slowly. Anything you are in doubt feel free to post here as there are lots of peeps here willing to help :) Goodluck!

I was about to send my application yesterday to AHPRA Victoria, went to this famous courier service express, but unfortunately to my dismay, they did not accept my documents since the address is just a GPO BOX, and nobody will be signing and receiving the courier, which is against their policy and SOP... went to another known courier office but again for the second time, I was refused...Last resort is the Philpost yet I'm just so uncertain about them.

Any other means of sending via courier??? and anybody who tried the philpost???

help please and heap of thanks =)
