Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

456 visa has the "no further stay"??my 676 only allows me to stay in oz maximum 3 months per entry. is it alright if after staying for 3 months in oz using the 456 visa, i can still stay for another 3 months using the 676 visa? or do i have to exit?
is there a bcg vaccine for adults? if yes, where can i buy?
BCG....
1) you should have BCG vaccine when you were still a naked baby, just like most of us filipinos, unless you were born in the mountainous area then i would understand you didnt have a shot..
2) you must have a tuberculin skin test FIRST so that to know whether you are exposed or not.. if you positive result then BCG vaccine (if there is one for adult) is useless (you know the reason why of course)..
3) if the result is negative, then good onya, then thatz the time you ask the doctor if such BCG adult vaccine exists in the phils.. but i reckon, no such BCG adult vacc in phils., only for children..
4) just curious, what school or state is requiring you to have a BCG vaccine?
what is the usual uniform for clinical placement during bp? i want to buy the uniform while i'm still in the philippines to save money. thank you. :dncgbby:
clothes here are expensive, after arriving here i requested my parents to send me by postal package my clothes and shoes (i was even tempted to have my undies sent too).. i still saved a lot of money despite paying package fees, instead of buying clothes here..
nways, ask your school because they have their own uniform color or whatever.. im a man, dont know exactly your genetic composition (male or female or neuter), but male wear navy/dark.blue slacks pants, black shoes and a short sleeve polo (dont know the color of the polo, it dpends on the school)..
hope others can answer your question more specifically.. cheers!
But I don't think I'd be able to go to Cebu anytime soon. Are there any other way? Did you personal request at their office and pay the amount?
fill up that request form.. go to a bank, request for a manager's check for the amount you will pay.. send the request form to IDP together with manager's check..
before going to the bank, ask first the IDP what will be typed on the manager's check as payee, is it "IDP Philippines" or "IDP"...
they should accept manager's check as payment, unless the one you talked have a low iq..
cheers!
did you apply to ahpra nsw? my eligibilty letter came from ahpra vic and although someone said in this thread that, because the boards have merged you are eligible to study anywhere with the ahpra letter, mikyong told me that he needs to have some sort of recommendation letter to do the bp in CoN.im also interested in applying to CoN this april, I just dont know if there's still a lot of time left especially with the recommendation letter thing. thanks and all the best :)
just clarify that "recomendation letter" thing, mikyong's case may be different from you (i have that suspicion).. who knows, you really dont need such thing buting-ting.. and i assume that your approval/eligibility letter is from ahpra victoria dated after july 01..
good luck, just a little patience and you'll be alryt, before you knew it, you are here already......
guys, how did you request IDP to send your IELTS TRF to APHRA?I tried emailing them through their inquiry section in their website and a person answered me and sent me a request form and to send it back to IDP Makati. Now my problem is, Im very far from Makati. Im from Visayas. How can I send the request form and the payment as well to send it to AHPRA. I ask for bank account where I could possibly just send the money but there was none. Help!
It doesn't have to be a problem whether your from Visayas. If there is a mailing center in or near your area (like DHL) , you can have your IELTS TRF sent through it. You don't have to personally deliver the TRF to Makati much less send the IELTS result to AHPRA yourself. As long as you pay the appropriate fee to IDP Makati, it will SEND the IELTS result to AHPRA FOR YOU. As for the payment, I believe it has been answered above...Good Luck!

i applied in ahpra nsw. if the application is successful, ahpra nsw will give you the "letter to do bp" and the "referral letter to The College of Nursing". CoN is the only school that offers the bp in nsw. CoN's main requirements are ielts, ahpra referral letter and visa. if you did not apply in nsw, inform the state where you applied that you're interested in CoN
cerdiwyn gave an answer to your query...you will only be a holder of one visa, no way its two, it's either one will prevail or replace the other.. many applicants here when they applied for 456 visa they requested (or tick a box) for them to have multiple entry and not that "no further stay"...
i assume you 1st had a 676 visa? then sometime you applied for a 456 visa? (or have you applied and approved already of 456 visa?, if so then you are now a 456 visa holder not a 676 holder, and you will have to apply again for 676 visa if you want to have it again)....
i hope i understand your case and i hope you understand the points im driving at.. just post for any queries so as we could clarify what's going on with your visa..
so that's how it goes. thanks!

thanks! i have xy chromosome. maybe when i already know the uniform, i'll ask my parents to buy and send it to oz through courier. is it safe to send things other than letters by post?

Thanks for diligently answering my queries. The College of Nursing in requires me evidence that I'm both not infected and immune to Tuberculosis. I assume clear CXR results and (+) Mantoux Test are enough proofs?
