Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Hi everyone! I just would like to ask your opinion.i attended an orientation last week in a consultancy firm in Malate, Manila and i am super interested in signing up with them. However, my mom told me to first be sure if the consultancy is credible and not fake/scammer, if not i might end up as a victim.
Can anyone assure me that the consultancy is credible and that my money wont be wasted?
Please respond...:):wink2:
thanks!:redbeathe:redpinkhe:clown:
May I know what consultancy firm you are talking about? Is it ASNC? If that is the consultancy you are talking about then I would tell you they are credible. The Director is really accommodating too and without hesitation would tell you any information you need.

I think sis what she is referring to is the ANSM Consultancy. Since they're located in Malate. ASNC i think they're based in AU if i'm not mistaken coz they are ANSM's counterpart in Australia.

They're the same sis As far as I know because they have the same email add for the director. I so love him btw lol... He's really super nice and very honest
actually it's for NSW. are you referring to registration after the competence course? or registration to take the competence course? thanks. oh this kind of sucks. i was thinking of extending my volunteer training for four months instead of the usual three that they allow us but seeing that they don't consider that experience at all i am quite hesitant to pursue it. ;(
Hi whats the IDP Australia-makati?
IDP Education Pty Ltd (IDP) is a global company offering student placement and English language testing services.
Source: http://www.idp.com/about_idp/about_us/welcome_to_idp.aspx
They are actually focused on providing and training students for IELTS, and serve as a liaison officer for the Universities in Australia. If you want to study in Australia, IDP can help give you the information you need in any University or TAFE. They also provide assistance with the application, visa and all other things you might need.
Best of all, it's free. :)

Volunteer experience is still as valuable. Look at it this way, if two inexperienced nurses apply for the same position, who do you think will have more edge? The inexperienced nurse without any related experience at all, or the inexperienced nurse who has at least some volunteer experience? You are eligible to apply for GNP too - I have talked to some in NSW and they do accept newly registered overseas nurses. The only problem though is the visa.

Yeah I believe they are legit. I saw their brochure in IDP Australia-makati before so yeah they're for real.
