Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Today, 17 July 2010, the FedEx people delivered the good news to me... got my 456 visa multiple entry (3 months each entry) that started yesterday for 12 months... Well, Melbourne, wake me up when October comes!:D
In this regard, let me extend my heartfelt thanks to our Big Bro here whose valuable information he selflessly shared on this thread, especially on visa matters among others, made it possible for me to achieve such feat... to JavRN, kudos to you! Many thanks, bro!

God is constantly good. Thank you!

Congrats reiken!
OMG! You guys are so inspiring. Helping each other out and giving info regarding the Oz Nurse Dream. Though I only read posts from June 27, 2010 up to the last page, I still learned the basics of applying in Oz. I'm almost in tears after reading all your input.
I love you guys. I'll start working on my Oz dream once I'm done with my IELTS. Seriously, I love all of you. Mabuhay and keep inspiring newbies like me.
I want to give all of you guys a very big hug!!!
hello guys!
first of all, i'd like to say that i agree with our newbie fellow above.....you are all so inspiring!!!
well, i'm filling the ahpra form and i have 2 doubts:
1)where in the form should we write the state in which we wish to practice?
2) i really didn't know what to answer in question 18...
18. do you commit to only practise the profession if you have
appropriate professional indemnity insurance arrangements
in place?
yes
no/na

1) sori.. dont they clearly show in the form where to write it? where in the form did they ask the question, perhaps you write the answer on that portion.. (nway, im not sure, ask others okey)..
2) im sure of this... your answer should be yes... meaning, you promise and commit to get a professional ind. insurance when you start working as an rn in oz.. if you are not yet working there, then no need yet to get one.
