Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
I know someone from davao dee j. But she's not in this thread. I'm in for the October intake and i'm so anxious coz it seems nobody's interested in vchn here.Btw, where are you staying when you get there?
i am looking at VCHN's october intake! :)
i had myself enlisted already, still considering ETEA and January intakes for LaTrobe or Deakin
i've been back-reading for days and finally, i've made it to the recent posts!im Marc and i've already got THE letter from the NBV
is there anyone else on the same boat as i am?
im checking ETEA, VCHN, Deakin and LaTrobe for my BP.
thanks and cheers for the Australian-dream! :)

did you submit your applications already?
I have been losing sleep over this:yawn:

Not yet! and i am really confused too!
Deakin or LaTrobe is my real choice but January is just way too far.
what are you looking for?
Go for VCHN this Oct Maclorenz!
jesse gurl, are you going for VCHN this October?
The only way to waive the bp before is by having a new Zealand license or graduating bsn from select European countries. Even topnotchers or graduates from leading unis in our country are required to undergo bp. This program is considered part of continuing professional education (CPE) that's why aus accepts even the fresh graduates. If by some kind of mystic force someone was able to waive bp other than those stated above, I doubt if this person can ever find an employer. In the remotest rural area perhaps???

as far as i know, you cannot practice without the board registration. may it be in a rural area or the central cities.
and the only way to have yourself registered as a nurse practitioner is via a program for registration, either BP or Conversion.
