Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
kit25 / anyone: requesting for help please regarding qnc.just got my prc license id today. our prc certificate of registration (or "initial registration") is not yet available, and will be released sometime next year, perhaps around april 2009.
- as per qnc website, it requires certified copy of the initial registration. does this mean i could not yet send my application now because prc could not yet give me the cert. of registration? is there a way to address/solve this case? or i have no choice but to wait for the cert. of registration?
i passed the december 2007 board exam. don't have experience yet.
- could anyone share to me the "statutory declaration" document needed to be executed for those nurses with no experience. don't have a copy of that yet.
on the "commence date" _ /_ / _ of your qualification/college, do you write 06/01/04, even though your tor and school documents do not show the exact day of your commence/start date of your college course. i know i started june 2004, but no one could remember the exact date, tor/school docs only show that i start in june 2004.
hope you could help.
i'm panicking. thank you for any assistance.
i'm afraid there's no other way but to wait for the certificate. it's a requirement that you need to fulfill. your prc id will not suffice for the certifcate. you may inquire from prc if they can expedite this for you but i doubt if they could because there is no service like that. you may try.
i recommend that you contact your school about this. you must have a record of your commencement and graduation dates. your graduation date should coincide with the date on your diploma. though in reality, we graduate at a later time. but you should write what's on your diploma. the registrar has a record on your commencement date. better ask them.
for the statutory declaration, you may copy the declaration on the form but you have to state that you don't have nursing experience from the time you graduate. you have to express that you are competent even without experience. anyway, you just graduated dec.2007. oh my, i hate prc. they are delaying things for the nurses.
If you fail part A, you will be referred to the Modules where you got low scores. Because you failed in A you will be disqualifed for B (1 day clinical in Oz). After completing the module/modules, you will go to Oz for the 1 month clinical. The Part B challenge test is only applicable to applicants who passed Part A without completing the modules. It's a make or break scenario.
If I fail part A, I will have to study the Modules that I get low scores.
I am wandering that can I study those modules online outside Oz?
I just wanna save cost of living in Oz~
thanks you in advance ~
PS. I really love to read your posts in this thread bcoz they're very helpful.:heartbeat:heartbeat
Hi again, I hope that my answer were a little help, I have again spoken with sawsee, and as he is not a member of this site, he has said he would welcome the chance to arrange an orientation for Nurse that would be interested in learning more, not necessarily interested in training with his company, he would welcome the chance to arrange something for all of you, to learn from him so you can look else where or just be armed with new information, and he will if time is possible have Clinica sit in on the conversation online at his office, if this is of interest he has welcomed anyone wanting to know more and correct him if he is wrong 11.30am Thursday 30th october in their quezon city offices, I hope this will help anyone, like most of you i would like to help as much as i can

The theory modules can be done offshore - outside Australia via online correspondence. However, the Clinical module is to be accomplished in Brisbane because you will need to have the said clinical practice in one of their hospitals.

I've messaged you about Sawsee's location.
There will be an information day sort of on the 30th as Maria has said. This has been confirmed to me by the liaison officer too in Sawsee. So, if you have the time, please visit their office for more information. :)

Well, it was arranged by the liaison officer there just for everyone who wants to know more about the agency. :) I think some here are going there too but I'm not sure if they can wait till the 30th. And the one I have been talking to (from Sawsee) also said that if there's anyone who will not be able to attend the said information day, he will be happy to extend some more information here. But, it would always be better to talk to them personally so you can ask everything you want.
I know it's really confusing, with all the options out there...
Best of luck!
Thanks..ill grab this chance since its kinda close by to where i live. My 15th post..now i think i can send pms Are you going ? or will you stick it out with your 3 other options instead?
I really wish I could I might go to Phil by Dec or Jan... hopefully! So I can visit every agency there lol. I'm still undecided... I'm open to other options too that is why I have so much to think about as time pass by because of the added options...

Yes, from the list I gave before, there are several there who sponsors. Even public hospitals do sponsor overseas nurses. You can also check with the health government websites of each state as they are actively hiring overseas nurses. I will have a look at the websites and post here tomorrow. For now I'll just go rest.
I'll update you tomorrow. :)
Oops wait... did you just say bridging program? That is different.. when you say sponsor, it means sponsor you for the visa. You will have to finance your bridging program and be registered first. But for the employment part, Yes, there are hospitals that will sponsor you. Although, there are a few who might sponsor the whole bridging program. The ones in WA I think will be able to give a refund I think.
