New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand

Hi everyone, please help me.

I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.

Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.

That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.

However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.

I already have my bachelors degree here.

When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?

After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?

VCHN requires hospital experience right? anyway, how much is their BP course? commencement dates for 2010?

Hi, bro..yup, they require at least one year experience, with at least 3 months in acute medical surgical. 10 weeks BP course is 10,000 aud. I think they have commencement every six weeks? Im not sure..but when they emailed me, they said that they still have slots for 2010 intake. VCHN is an accredited bridging course provider by NMBWA and, once they are renewed, by NBV. 4 weeks theoretical will be in their Heidelberg, melbourne campus. For those using NMBWA assessment letter, the remaining 6 weeks for the clinical placement will be in Perth.

When is the next commencement date for the IRON program in VCHN? Coz I needed to take it before my IELTS expire on may10..I hope I still stand a chance..

they have intake every 6 weeks. start processing your papers now.. as of now they are only accredited by NMBWA. NBV is under renewal..

haha.. i think so.. but nevertheless il continue in VCHN as well as their package for work placement. coz my brother, who is in perth, told me that it's hard to find job in ausi now so agency might be a smart way to get your first job and your work visa. well i hope we will be accepted in VCHN as i heard they are very strict and they really require experience and phone interview. goodluck to us.. we can do it even we are onl 2. haha.. post something here for updates of your appliction. thanks..

im still confused about business short stay visa specifically the show money.. do you have any idea?

hi im in UK ryt now but im planning to go to ausi.. so far its very hard here.. really hard. goodluck to your friend. so atleast for you, continue your plan to ausi just wait its realy a good way to wait for ausi rather to go here in UK.. Godbless.

i am collating all my documents for submission to vchn, too. yeah, i heard vchn is really strict. once i complete my documents/requirements, i will update you.

i have not yet really reviewed the business short stay visa requirements but once i have a complete grasp of it, i will tell you also...:)
