Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!

I think you should focus more on the reading and writing part. The reading part is quite confusing especially with all the facts being given to you not to mention the pressure of the 60 minute time limit. Don't read fast. Slowly but surely so you won't keep on coming back to the readings. With the writing part, practice makes perfect. Know the format, go straight to the point and make sure your grammar is correct even if the sentence is simple.Listening is like fill in the blanks. Show that your confident in the speaking part and try to lessen your fillers.. :)
@hungrybird09 really...but length of stay is always on the discretion of the consular officer, it is dependent on so many things -the documents one present, his/her present circumstance, main reason of going to aus. i presume you didnt present any document requiring you to study for atleast three months, bp or whatever, if you did -and you you're supporting documents are fine, then if they are to grant you a visa the length of stay validity should be longer than the length of the course study. if you didnt do this before, perhaps you can try this now, if you are to use a tourist visa for bp instead of student visa. :)
so its possible to put there that i'm going to take the bp course. the first time i applied for tourist visa they gave me 1 year multiple entry but i'm not allowed to extend my stay more 3 months. my reason was my sister has cancer so she wants me to stay with her during her treatments, then they gave me the visa. so this time, i'll tell them that i'm going to do the bp. thank you for your reply.
i have thought of that too. but accdg to the immi.gov.au website, one of the valid reasons for applying a 676 visa is for non-work purpose study of not longer than 3 months. and a student visa is not applicable if you're applying for etea for example, as their BP course is not cricos registered.

maybe i'll just ask my sister to call the immigration. thank you for your reply. i hope you get your letter soon hehehe. just keep on following up your papers, . good luck to everyone...

@chabeli: thanks for agreeing chabeli! hey is the 300k php for the two of you already? or 300k each? i plan to get the 676 instead of the 456 visa and apply for etea's april intake if i get the letter and etea still has slots left. :)
