  5. hello! everyone! good day! its been a long time since my last log in. i've read some of the post. congratulations to ryan and chabeli... and to everyone who got there letter from nbv and for those who are bound to oz.. can i ask anyone who remember this post im going to paste... can you tell me who post this im in university of ballarat right now... taking bachelor of nursing post-registration (bnp).. this is a one yr course.. after completion.. ub directs my course to bacehlor of nursing (bn) which is an extra semester (6 months) to complete the course. upon completion.. i will be reg as div1 nurse already.. right now.. i finished all my theory classes.. just waiting for my clinical placement.. then that's it... as far as i know, these are the accredited pre registration courses from the nurses board of victoria: la trobe university- course name: advanced diploma in nursing university of ballarat- re-rentry program for div1 rn and pre-registration program for overseas qualified nurses (ppoqn) here are some institution in victoria with accredited initial regestration courses for overseas qualified nurse (3 or so months course) deakin uni eastern health education training and employment australia la trobe uni mercy health training institute mt. alexander hospital ramsay health care robinvale district health service royal womens hospital south west healthcare stawell regional health st. vincent & mercy private hospital victorian college of health and nursing (which is the college ur talking about) for initial registration courses and ppoqn, one must comply all the requirements to nbv: which is at least one yr experience in hospital and ielts band score of 7.0 and nothing below 7.0 in all subtests.. if one cannot comply to their requirements.. then you have another option.. the pre registration course.. which is a longer course.. for university of ballarat (1 1/2 yr) no need to apply to nbv.. just apply directly to university. ielts requirements as for now is 6.5 band score and nothing below 6.0 in subtests.. (i hope this will not change) no need for clinical experience as well you will be on student visa in which you're allowed to work for 20 hours a week cheers!! i could not remember who post this one. its been posted too long ago.:):) i would just like to ask him few questions on how he manage to get in uni ballarat. i was planning to take same path.. :):hpygrp: thankss

  13. hello guys! its nice to hear that everyone is bz on there papers. I'm still waiting for my board certificae bcoz it is not yet release until now. i took the board nov 2008 and i still dont hav my board certificate... grrrr... I'm still waiting for my bOARD Certificate so that i can send my docs to NBV. I'm just hoping i can still take my BP before july 2010. @CHABELI & GF i've been in bendigo last week. just accompanied my friend on her medical exam at St.John of God Hosp. Its my first time to go in bendigo and its really a quiet place. but bendigo is much better compared to Swan hill in terms of the shops. I'm here in Swan Hill its a 2 hours drive from bendigo.. Enjoy your stay and bendigo.. Goodluck to your BP. one more thing a friend of mine is a newly registered nurse here in swan hill and she also take her BP (i dont know where) but while shes taking the BP she applied here in Swan Hill and asked if they can sponsor her. indeed she's being sponsored for a resident visa (not sure if its a resident visa). Hope to see you guys someday... God Bless on all our endeavours...
