Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
..Hello to you and anybody,
just would like to ask about documents sent to nursing board, how did you "filed" them, did you have them in a folder with a "fastener" (meaning you punch holes on the documents)? or did you just placed them in an expandable big brown envelope?
hope you or anyone could enlighten me with this...
thank you..
hi, just have them certified. and put them in an envelope, its up to you if you want to put a clip on it just for the purpose of keeping it intact all together, but it is not necessary as long as all of the needed documents required by the NBV is in the envelope...maybe you could put them all in an A4 size envelope just to avoid from folding the documents up while it is in transit..:)
NOTE: dont you ever put a hole on it or whatsoever or else it will be considered as invalid...just put it all inside an envelope then all you go...send it through!
then she can apply in a call centre then part time job...a lot of call centres here...but she has to work in melbourne though as i think theres no call centres in bendigo...she just have to search for call centre companies over the internet as most of them requires applicants to apply online and have their online skills assessment done through the internet...:)alright, i might send application to la trobe...i will send application to deakin uni on monday..:)
anyone here who will be doing their BP at deakin????
that's good to hear, ryan. thank you!! well, she can probably do admin works if there's no call centre in Bendigo.
Hi Guys..
Just a quick question about NBV..how long is the wait time for them to reply for an assessment. And are second coursers welcome ? Also It does not say about sending transcripts of records in the application especially if one is a second coursers. My problem is my first school and second school have an entirely different grading system. For example my first school grade of 5 is a perfect score but for my nursing school its a failing grade and since my nursing transcript only have their standards. What should i do so that the NBV do not get confused with my grades? Should I send my first course transcripts or just my nursing transcript? Or will sending both just confuse them as well? Help me pls...

Hi coutmein, the wait time is 30 days... I suggest you email them directly about your question so you really hear it straight from them.
Thanks chabeli,
I sent an email to them but its getting a sent failure. Its being blocked as it were Spam mail. So ill send it again. So just 30 days..is that the actual authority to take the bridging program or just a letter acknowledging receipt of the application ?? How are they to second coursers ?

yes 30 days to assess but if you have lacking requirements then it's another 30 days depending on the day they received the correct forms. i don't know about 2nd coursers, just send in your RLE also coz they require that too
hi for those who applied/applying for QNC:
Do you have any idea on when is the deadline for the submission of all requirements for CAS? prior to the implementation of their new regulation?
What i mean is i applied already for QNC but yet to take IELTS. I was recently informed that QNC will no longer be a sole regulating body by next year. I am wondering if this new rule will affect applicants who applied prior to the implementation of their new policy/regulation? Which means that my application will be affected and i am to reapply and pay again.
to those who have anyidea hope you can enlighten us on this..
THANKS A MILLION!

Hi mariepdl! I applied to the Council and submitted my requirements last June 16, and my IELTS followed on July 2 with my police clearance and NBI. Till now I have yet to receive my assessment. I think assessments of second coursers like me take time to be processed as compared to those who have BSN as their first and only course. Anyway to answer your question, an agency/consultancy firm texted me that QNC will cease to accept applicants starting November this year. I was not so sure about that because at first I just thought that they were just persuading me to sign-up with them. But another poster said that he/she heard that the Council will stop accepting on January next year. So I think that while it is true that QNC will stop accepting applicants, there's no definite date yet but for sure the Council will be announcing that soon because as I have stated, my assessment until now hasn't arrived yet, to think that I submitted mine more than 3 months ago already. What more for those who will submit later (like late this year?), eh I think the Council will be having a sort of cut-off for them to just process those applicants before the July 2010 change. So I think you have to submit your IELTS ASAP so that QNC will not hesitate to process your application. I am not saying that they will hesitate but at least, you will save time because for sure they will send you a letter or notification that you need your IELTS before they can process your docs, right? So better not to wait for them to notify you regarding your IELTS, then wait again for another notification from them etc...
I think applications submitted before their formal announcement will be safe and assessed accordingly provided that all other requirements like the IELTS will be submitted as soon as possible. No time to dilly dally folks!
Godbless our application! And oh, I know it's out of topic but I hope and pray that all of you and your families were safe this weekend.
