Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
If it has been that long and you still haven't received anything from them, it is better to give them a call or email them about your situation. Hopefully it was not lost in the process. It could be that they never got the application or that you never got the acknowledgment letter.Just a tip: Try to follow up at least every month to make sure you know what's going on :) ...unless of course, they said to wait for a certain number of weeks or month.
Good luck dear!
oh no.. im confused.. who should i email? qnc? thanks in advance aelith...
hello! good day to all.. I have heard earlier this week from a friend who applied for QNC. After paying 300k to her ANSM agency she was told that the application process to QNC will take longer than usual because retired nurses in QLD has returned to practise nursing due to the recession. SO she has given up her hope again on this.
I wonder has anyone had the same experience? And for those who recently applied to QNC is the processing time taking longer?
I hope QNC can give a better hope than USA

Australia, I think, is still a better choice now compared to USA because of the retrogression in place. I think what her agency meant is.. the processing time will take more months. It used to be a couple of months but since there was [and there still is] a surge of nurses applying at QNC, applications piled up, hence the delay. It wouldn't be like the retro in US which takes years :)
Thanks ill just delete my post to avoid any problems if i can. I just found those dates in the CAS booklet online so i figured it was public knowledge. Didnt know it could cause any problems. Thanks again.
Hi mariepdl, what do you mean she has given up hope. After paying ? Im sure its just months and not years just as Aelith pointed out.
hi thanks Aelith! i do hope so. hayyy.. i have a question i sent my application form na etch but the charge i noted was 154$ QNC emailed me and told me that they cannot process my application Kasi kulang nang 4$ it was supposed to be 158$ . They said i can just send the details of my Credit card through the email but i am not sure which email. Does anyone here know? thanks

That is just weird that they only deducted 154... They made a mistake and now you have to suffer. Anyway, email them again and ask for an official letter from them stating the situation and why they need your credit again. (Just to be on the safe side if something bad happens). And then reply with the details required and the amount that you authorize them to debit (e.g. AUD 4.00 only).
Good luck dear~
Hi! I am an international student in the USA but my country of citizenship is Philippines. I just graduated with my ADN (Associates Degree-RN) and I am open to relocating. is new zealand still needing nurses?? If so, how do I go about working there?? Sounds like an interesting place to go to and work at.
