  1. Hello! I was wondering if anybody could guide me on how to apply for the new grad program this year 2011 or 2012??
  2. PRADO: well i took mine on aug 15.. so are you saying i should wait about 2 weeks more?? yeah i ll definitely try calling the boards to see if my file is complete. i'm little upset the pearsonvue "trick" brought me all the way to the CC page and it seems like a lot of people think it's accurate... (sigh!). Thanks for all the replies..i guess i'll just have to wait
  3. Hi! So..i took my NCLEX more than 4weeks ago and still had no results if i passed or failed. I am thinking of calling somebody but I am not sure who to call. Tried the pearsonvue "trick" and it went all the way to the credit card information..does anybody knows who I can call? Or should I wait a little longer? and how long?? Please advise!
  4. hi Silverdragon102, so I just want to be clear-once I get my license I can work at a flu clinic although I am on F1 visa?? And yes, I will be going to school in the fall (to maintain my visa status and all that) while trying to work/get experience somewhere/anywhere.
  5. Hi. I am a recent graduate from a nursing school in California. I am holding a student visa and therefore had only been able to work on campus. Now that I am about to take my NCLEX (and hopefully get the results soon), I was wondering if it is possible to work at a flu clinic, home health care or anything temporary? I do have an SSN but I am not sure if I can do that although it is directly related to my major/course. I am planning to go back to school to further my studies (in the spring) but I do want to get some experience somewhere while waiting to do so. Anybody has any advice or know any place i can work/?
  6. Hi! I am an international student in the USA but my country of citizenship is Philippines. I just graduated with my ADN (Associates Degree-RN) and I am open to relocating. is new zealand still needing nurses?? If so, how do I go about working there?? Sounds like an interesting place to go to and work at.
  7. Hello, thanks for replying. But I was thinking, if I do leave the country, will it be easier to apply for a work permit that way? or...apply for something else-as an immigrant? And how long does it take for either one to be processed? I think it is too late for me to apply to go back to school for my BSN right now so I'm not sure what to do. Can I stay in the community college I am in and just continue going to school there for a different major just to pass time until the next application for BSN?? Please help!
  8. Hi. I am a newly graduate with my RN-ADN in a community college here in California. I am expecting to take my boards early this july. My problem is that I am on a student visa (F1-visa) and I am having a hard time looking for hospitals/nursing facilities that will sponsor work permit due to the regression. I believe my visa will expire in a couple months and so I hope to find an employer who would help with work visa. Does anybody know any hospitals/facilities that still provides work permit for nurses? My family lives in the USA but I am the only one with a visa problem (my parents are not citizens yet). I do not mind moving but I would love to stay within the California state (to family members). Also, if anybody has any advice on how I can go about changing my visa from a student visa to a work permit that will be very helpful because since I am in the country already, I would prefer to do all those visa/paperwork here instead of (paying for an airline ticket) going back to my country (where none of my family is living in anymore) and doing all that from there all alone. All suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
