Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
hi, im far from heidelberg too...im in the melbourne's south suburb...i think you can avail discounts if you will buy train or tram tickets in advance...:) lets say, you can buy a ticket good for one week and it will save you heaps...and you can use those tickets in trams and buses as well...VCHN- Victorian College of Health and Nursing...im still waiting for their call but will ring them again this monday..ill keep you posted.:)
hey ryan! what's the update on VCHN? south morang is 2 hrs away from heidelberg so it might not be very practical to travel 2 hrs daily....
Dudzy!.... good you're finally there! Keep yourself warm there, hahaha...and of course, update me with ETEA class.

thanks, aelith...just one more question...the document i asked the PRC to send is the certificate of good standing, and this has been received already by NBV.
What is the certificate of initial registration? is this the letter that i got stating that i passed the licensure exam?
Cert. of Initial Reg. is a certificate that bears your license number and the dates of the NLE...:)

Certificate of initial registration is that piece of paper that looks like a diploma if you will. Printed on parchment paper, normally when you go to the dentist or doctors office...its that piece of paper hanging on their walls that's has the PRC written on top of it saying your a registered board passer of your occupation. Normally it is processed alphabetically in the PRC ..so for those with last names ending with with last letters of the alphabet or did their registration in the provinces ..its takes a while for PRC to do these...You pick this up in window 17 if I remember correctly ..and they give to you with the brown envelop you provided when you took your NLE..

Glad to hear that. At least you've got a response already.. just means that your papers are being processed already. :) Hopefully everything will be okay soon.
Good luck!
