Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
^^
can anyone confirm this?
what will happen to us who havent got any experience? we have already submitted our applications though. but will this affect us? and i think their ielts requirements now has changed...we should have 7 band score in each test with an over all band score of at least 7..
oh no...this is a headache...we might switch state...

Regarding the experience i cant say but the ielts score has always been a 7 in each test and an overall score of 7.
i disagree.. from what i had read, qnc allows 6.5 band scores on reading and listening. :wink2: i guess we really have to lodge our application the soonest possible time, they are becoming more strict as time passes by. tsk3..
In another thread i read that as of today... there was a memo released that all categories should be at least 7.0... pending applicants will be required to take the ielts again... may be that is for people without confirmation yet.... best to check...
Just got my ielts and i am still qualified... Thank GOd!:yeah:
I am curious regarding the work experience... is that 6 months for queensland:cry:
just got an email from qnc that they're now requiring a band score of 7 in all subtests effective march 6. my result was just forwarded last feb20. i assume they havent received it yet that's why they email me about it. good thing i'm still qualified.
not sure about the 6 mos. experience. probably it's not applicable for those whose papers were already assessed.
