Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Congratulations Branyan! So all papers just need to be "certified true copy" by any notary public? Thats it? Where did you guys have it certified? How much? I do know that I can "certify" my diploma and transcript at my school (60 pesos I think).
But a Notary Public is more sure no?
Try the Public Attorneys Office (PAO). There is always one or more in every city. Cheaper and legal too.
Good Luck.
hi nursemavi, when did you start your bp. is that in hph
when will you be finishing this and what is your next move or task????
thanks
this is from nursemavi's post...
our bp runs for 8-10 weeks. we had 4 weeks theoreticals and 4-6 weeks in clinical practice(usually 4 weeks only unless you have some issue in your practice which would require you to extend). i am now going to my 2nd week of clinical practice. our program timeline is theoreticals from jan 05 till jan 30 then clinicals from feb 2-27.
hi guys, I'm quite new to this thread, and as I see that there are already 100+ pages here, I don't have the energy anymore to search for my questions. So I'm going to ask this, I'm a June 2008 board passer currently with no experience yet. I'm setting my sights for australia as of now and I just wanted to know if the bridging programs there require any hospital experience? Or is the assessment different for each person? I'm just taking my step 1 tomorrow which is counseling in IDP. So any advice for me?
Hi Patuman,
I started my BP last January 05 and it will end by Feb 27(God willing). I have started submitting my application letter and CV to HPH so that by the time I get my license(hopefully 1st week of March), they can process my nomination for sponsorship and can start with my application for working visa. Still, everything will depend upon God's plan for me. I entrust Him my future.
Good luck and God bless.

ah yes. but i was hoping to do the experience for a year and apply to HPH so i don't need to pay so much. Is it possible to apply to the state first and wait to apply to the school for the program? Also, since Curtin only accepts entries in January, I feel like I would be wasting another year waiting for that to come around so I thought might as well train now then ill have a year's experience and I can apply to HPH. Is that possible? Thank you.
You can apply early as now and send your approval to HPH.Tell them you are currently fulfilling the 1year experience required. Your enthusiasm and hard work may count. And the 25 yearly slot for the program is competitive. best of luck
I just like to share to everyone specially to those undergoing the CAS program in QLD..that I already saw my name in the QNC registry which means that I'm already a QLD RN! To other CAS students, you can also do it, just be patient and don't lose your sight, your focus.
You're the man.Congrats!

Thanks for the info and MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALWAYS.:wshgrt:
Hey patuman I have another question:So what do I tell them? Write down "certified true copy", then have them sign it and put their dry seal? How much did you have to pay for yours?
Thanks!
Hi rooftop,
First of all you have to have the documents photocopied or xeroxed.
Are you from Davao City? If you are, then just go to PAO office, tell them your purpose and just let them do their thing. There are lots of "wise guys" there. So far, all they certified for me were accepted by NMBWA. But it won't hurt to check if they signed or marked every page. Just ask them politely. OR BETTER STILL, inform them first that you need it signed on every page, and with the corresponding date and the performing officer.
This is all what I did. It will cost about 1 hundred pesos per page. You try to ask for discount if you have to many to be certified.
Go now. The earlier the better.
Good luck and have faith in GOD. Always have "good intentions". Things in life will come easier if we do.
