we have concluded our testing, thanks for everyones feedback. after testing the new chat, we decided to stick with the previous chat program we have been using.

for some reason we have not figured out, a few people are having problems using the chat. the java chat works best with the microsoft internet explorer browser (ie). if you are having problems accessing the chat, please try ie you can download ie at:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp

you can find the chat room here:

https://allnurses.com/pl.cgi?chat

hint: the evening hours are the best time to catch someone in the chat room. daytime hours are not as active.

enjoy! and thanks again for all your feedback!

For some reason, it takes a few minutes for things to load for sometimes and sometimes a few seconds? Not sure why the lag time. For those of you on a dialup modem, it will take longer than those with a high speed connection.

Hi Brian.....I have a dial up, waited quite a while, just a grey square. Thanks

Pappy

I tried it get in, but it told me that my user name was invalid?

are we still being hosted by cajnet? if so, ill just keep connecting through that.

It took 3 or 4 minutes to download at a speed of 28.8. Then my computer sat and went clickety clickety for a couple minutes. When it finally stopped clicking the task bar said "applet started" and I had a chat window on my screen but none of the buttons would do anything and nothing happens when I type in the box. Oh, and I am using an antiquated version of IE and still running in windows 95.

Cool Beans Brian! No one in there to try it with, but it loaded fine & looks neat!

It loaded fine, but every time I typed something (yes, I was talking to myself...... :lol), it just sorta.........disappeared.......when I hit the enter key. ???????

It loading for me again just fine. About 30 seconds.

I like that it opens up a new window so I can still check out the BB.

Took a little long to load, otherwise it is ok. Is this in replace of the other chat site or in addition to it?

I just get a blank gray area with nothing. However, I'm logging in from the network at work so they may have done something on the network to disable chat. Is that possible?

probably behind a firewall...

not too shabby...

1) would love more emoticons, but i'm sure that'll come with time...

2) would like to keep colors all the time without having to click them every time...

3) type is too small, even for my 30yo eyes...

4) Thanks to brian for always working to improve our quality of cyberlife.

What do the green dots by the names mean? Chat room is working fine for me!

In the room and chatting with several others right now :)

Took a lil bit to load, but working fine
