NELRP is there a thread?

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

I really am confused that no one is hearing anything????? I was hoping that as soon as a few people heard something that it would just start trickling down???? It's almost like it is on a "standstill" for some reason. I am hoping for everyone that it starts soon. I agree with the amount of debt that we, as nurses, have. It's a ton and nursing any way you look at it is a tough job! Nursing can be mentally and physically demanding and you really have to be a caring person to handle it all with a smile but someone who is a true nurse always does that.........I know it's easier for me to say because I have the email (which is no guarantee) but I sure am glad I have it.....Stay positive.....since everything is on the computer this year, we really don't know what to expect. Don't forget as nurses, we get the 10 year student loan forgiveness. Make sure and check with your lender to make sure that you are doing everything necessary to qualify.

I guess it really might be Sept 30 before we hear. Oh well....

At least it will be a surprise when the lucky ones get an email! It could come today, next week, or month, or not hear anything at all. I'm just thankful that I may have the opportunity to get my loans paid for. If I don't get it this year there is always next year. Free money is free money and any little bit will help!

Still no email. I'm going to drive myself crazy. The only solace is that no one is getting them (except a few from before), so perhaps they just haven't sent them out yet. When I look at the thread from last year it seemed like they trickled in slowly at first, and they suddenly a bunch of people were getting them. I've never been good at waiting!!!!!!

Nothing here either. I got an email the other day from my union and the abbreviation in the subject line was so similar to HRSA that I almost fooled myself! I didn't even finish reading the subject line when I clicked on it, but I quickly realized that it was not *the email* we're all waiting for. Sigh...

No news or changes for me either:(

It's frustrating waiting, but if we're all waiting, that probably means we still have hope. They just haven't sent them yet. I know we are going to get them soon! :o

I haven't heard anything and another RN at my facility (with even more debt than me) still hasn't heard anything either! Every time I have a new email I think "maybe this is it!" but it's not. Still hopeful, but the wondering is a killer! Even to hear "no, you won't get the loan repayment" would be helpful as I consider other nursing positions that are opening up!

Well, I know that I got an email late on a Wednesday and another person on the same day........maybe they are computer generated and does it on Wednesdays.....just a thought?????????? Who knows????

I was thinking something along the same lines. Mondays and Tuesdays seem a little less likely to send out emails just because it's the beginning of the week. I mean who doesn't get a case of the "Mondays" every now and then?! Oh, the theories we concoct!

Still nothing... When I first applied the idea of possibly not hearing anything until October didn't seem like quite a big deal, but now everyday seems like a eternity. I don't want to hear no..part of me is like take all the time you need to find some money for everyone BUT this is INSANE:bugeyes:.

I wonder how many times I can check my email and this blog per day, before it could be considered a psychiatric disorder?
