NELRP is there a thread?

Featured Replies

Hi Judith- Your post is the first post I have found about NELRP 2012. So I guess this will be the NELRP 2012 thread!

I'm glad you started this thread! I'm already anxious for any news and the new HPSA funding preferences are making my doubts creep in....I hope someone hears something soon.

i think this is the only thread for nelrp 2012! i also submitted my application, and i'm anxious to hear about it "no later than october 31"... sigh!

Hi Judith,

Thanks for starting this thread. Have you spoken with a representative regarding your application? Do you know the preference number they have assigned you? The wait is going to feel like forever!!

Good luck:)

I think this is the first one. We've got several months of waiting.....

How do you know what preference number that you are assigned?

Hi everyone! Good luck!

I have a question, equifax checked my student loans on 2/24, only my student loans? Is that to soon for HRSA to be checking? I have read some of the old posts and they talk about their loans being checked?

I am a little disappointed because when I spoke to Anthony at the HRSA call center, he told me that my application was already in review. However, when I signed back on to check my status online, it said received, review not started. I don't understand why he said that. He even explained that if they don't find an issue within 30 days, then it will go into phase 2 of the review. I am baffled as to why he would say something like this. I was wondering about the preference number because on the instructions it says that your application is immediately given a funding preference number, I don't know mine though.

Good luck to all of you!

Hopefully they were checking to ensure your student loans were not in default. I'd take this as a positive sign because the instructions stated that they will be checking your credit related to student loans. You can always go back on line and check your application status. Do you have a high debt ratio? They said they start reviewing the highest debt ratio 1st.

Good luck to you:)

My application status is submitted, but not yet reviewed... =/

tgonzalez, how were you able to see that equifax looked into your student loans? did they notify you about this?

How can you find your preference number? I just called the help line and the woman didn't know what I was asking about. Where y'all notified via email?

I don't know mine either. Have you checked your application status yet? Mine still says review not started. I hate to hurry my life away but I can't wait until September! Although, as I read many of the posts from previous years, some people were contacted May-July. Lets hope we all get good news early:)
