  1. I'm confused as to where I stand...My portal never changed from "submitted" to "under review", and today I'm unable to log in at all!
  2. The exact same thing is happening to me today! I also called the help line but got nowhere. Please oh please God let this be a good thing!
  3. Thanks a million!!
  4. Hi guys,I'm feeling particularly desperate today and seeking alternate options. Can anyone repeat the website link for the loan forgiveness after 10 years of service program? Thank you!!!
  5. Check here for funding preferences and to find your tier:http://www.hrsa.gov/loanscholarships/repayment/nursing/fundingpreference.htmlAs far as debt to income ratio, it's just your accrued debt:salaryYes, being a DSH is a good thing, but the rules have changed this year so check out the first link to get a better understanding. Hope this helps!
  6. I hope you are right! I specifically asked that question during the webcast and was told that CRNAs are not grouped with NPs. Have you been told something different?
  7. Nycnurse1982,I know CRNAs are with RNs and not NPs...not sure about midwifes.
  8. I don't understand the miscommunication....it seems that you would just be in the last tier. Is your hospital Private?Kslusher - from what I have heard from you, you should be in tier 4 at the lowest if your debt:income ratio is above 20% and you work at a nursing home. Look under the funding determinations....
  9. I called the hotline...the gentleman just told me I was being reviewed and everything would be announced by September or October. I think they have to review everyone before any decisions are made. My status never changed and I haven't seen any additional documentation. I think I'm 185%.
  10. My application hasn't changed one bit...not even any documents added under my application. I did just call and it was confirmed that my application is being reviewed. I continue to obsessively check my status, but I can't make any rhyme or reason to the changes being made to some applications and not to others. Anyways, just wanted to give a little hope to those of you not showing any signs of your review starting....it probably has :)
  11. Grady is awesome! I wouldn't worry about Grady's "looming financial trouble"....morehouse and Emory rely on Grady for training and Atlanta really does need Grady. Even if Grady were to close down years fom now, you would have no problem finding a job with your Grady experience. I have interviewed and worked all over the city and actually found Grady very competitive and the base salary was highest at Grady. I get very tired of the old and frankly untrue reputation that grady is so awful and scary. Grady needs amazing and dedicated nurses, so if you are feeling called to go there - go for it!
  12. This is just a guess, but maybe the "excluded party list" are your loans that weren't approved? When I was reasearching the application, I discovered that some loans can be approved and some can be denied which will change your estimated debt ratio...just a thought!
  13. I'm also an APN with a ratio of 185%, but my review hasn't started. I wonder if review has to do with geographical location or the date the application was submitted? Must feel nice to know you are already being looked over!
  14. How can you find your preference number? I just called the help line and the woman didn't know what I was asking about. Where y'all notified via email?
  15. I'm glad you started this thread! I'm already anxious for any news and the new HPSA funding preferences are making my doubts creep in....I hope someone hears something soon.
