Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

Anyone know if tier 2 is even considered or is it only tier 1 that gets accepted?

From what I have read they are considered but only if there is enough money. The likely hood of there being enough money to get into tier 2 is not that great. It doesnt look like they even get to all those on the lower end of tier 1 unfortunately. :bluecry1:

I would keep your hopes up. Every year is different...they may actually get down to tier 2....nothing against the applicants in tier one...but gotta hope there are a lot of incomplete applications that they reach tier 2. Applicants have to have a clear credit (reading from last years post). They disqualify anyone who is defaulted on any repayment of debt or hasn't fulfilled any prior financial obligations.

Girl I am right there with you!!! I called my lender and my credit monitoring place and they haven't heard a thing....no credit check....nothing except obtaining information from my employer.....I try not to think about it and then go into a frenzy.......:banghead:

I bet you check your application page for changes as much as I do everyday!!:eek: Do you think we will just cry if we don't qualify? LOL

There may not be too many in tier 1, remember the NP's and instructors are separate from the rest of us, so keep your fingers crossed!

Yes, I check everything everyday and usually twice or more!!!! Depends how busy I am....I'm afraid I will miss an email. I just can't figure out what tier I'm in???? I can't find my score. I know I qualified last year but they ran out of money but I think I would feel better knowing my score. 144% I'm a NP at a rural health clinic....just hoping that is tier 1, IDK????

I think you should be in top priority because remember what they said, 50% automatically goes to NP's!!! I found mine by putting my address in the link listed in this discussion a few pages back, have you tried that yet? I'm crossing my fingers for you:)

I tried everything to find my score....I called HRSA this morning and the person I talked to was great and gave me a number to call to get my score and I have left a message with him???? My fear is that I could fall anywhere from tier 1-3 on how I am reading it.......I think I would just feel better to know what tier I am in or maybe not? Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!!!
