  1. So is not having a EPL a bad thing as far as our status is concerned and our chances of getting an award?
  2. I believe CRNAs are with NPs...CRNAs are considered advanced nurse practitioners.
  3. Did anyone's Tier level changed since last night's site score updates?
  4. I never actually saw that message on my log-in.
  5. What I meant to ask is, the two documents don't necessarily need to be posted on the application to indicate that you may be awarded. I understand that they run a credit check and such, but if an applicant doesn't have it posted to their account by this time, does it mean they won't qualify? My application is still under review but lacks the EPL and credit check.
  6. So is having an excluded party list and credit check required in order to be awarded? I thought I remembered reading from last year's post that some people received an award without having those two documents.
  7. They end up doing a credit check further along the review process. If your application is "Under review" simply means they are verifying all documents, employment, loans, etc. a credit check is part of that process. After verifying this information they assigning a funding preference according to the information you provided and their verification. It was strongly stated that every application will be reviewed thoroughly. We simply have to wait.
  8. Good news for Tier 2....friend had his credit checked and EPL added to his application!
  9. I would keep your hopes up. Every year is different...they may actually get down to tier 2....nothing against the applicants in tier one...but gotta hope there are a lot of incomplete applications that they reach tier 2. Applicants have to have a clear credit (reading from last years post). They disqualify anyone who is defaulted on any repayment of debt or hasn't fulfilled any prior financial obligations.
  10. Yeah I kinda of figured the same thing about running out of funds since I would rank in the 2nd tier. However, I have a co-worker who works in the same facility as myself and was awarded last year. So if the ranking didn't change between last year and this year, then I still have hope!
  11. Hi! I am also new to this forum. I am curious to find out if having 79% debt/income ratio and rate a 12 on the facility is even possible for getting an award. Is the income they use before or after taxes? My application says it's under review but I do not have a credit check or excluded party list in my completed application.
  12. Hello Claymor, I'm currently a student at Wolford College in the second semester of the program. I can't tell you much about the clinical sites or rotations because I'm still in the didactic portion of the program. I'll answer a few of your questions though. My class had 54 students. There was a point where my class of 54 and the class ahead of us (51 students) had to sit in the classroom together for certain classes. It was a bit crowded, but the school has resolved that issue by splitting the classes beginning this Fall. The clinical sites are substantial to support the students (from what I hear so far). The PD and administration are always looking to find more clinical sites (it's always a work in a progress). I'll be doing my clinical rotation in Tampa (beginning Feb. 2010). So far, there are three main clinical sites (Tampa, Naples and Davenport). Hopefully this may have helped you a little bit. I too moved from TX and so far have no regrets! Let me know if I can help you answer any other questions..
  13. I too interviewed in front of three individuals. I was also asked about, experience, employment, education, certs, scores on CCRN, clinical site rotation picks, a few personal questions regarding GPA/GRE and other questions I will not mention. I was very nervous going in seeing that they didn't have my name on the list when I went to interview (it almost felt like they quickly got my file and gave it to the interview panel to quickly interview me when a slot became available). That was one negative I had about TCU and it really discouraged me going in to the interview...they didn't seem prepared and didn't exactly know who they were interviewing. The photographer informed me that it wasn't the first time that day that a name was left off the list. Overall, I did have a good experience...I'm just hoping they didn't just interview me to interview me. The panel was great...they made me feel relaxed...it was a quick 30 minutes. I didn't have clinical questions either.
  14. Got my letter today! I'm so excited! Good luck to everyone!:nuke:
