Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!
Thanks!
Wow CONGRATS to Emily, Nancy, and Picurn on your emails! I'm happy for you guys!
Sara- Awesome about the baby! You're all full of happy surprises this week huh?
Amy- I never actually asked GM for any information. I didn't reply to "the email" either in hope of answers. Part of me wants to try, but the other part is so grateful for the update she already gave me I don't want to be annoying... Also when she sent her first email it was 07/27/11. I'm pretty sure the HHS Secretary didn't even start signing contracts until 08/01/11.

Tess,
waiting is killing me too... hmmm.. how i pass the time?!? lol... well, lets see.. i check this website to see what everybody's heard, then i check hrsa press releases, then my email, then i might do that all again, and by then hopefuly the mail man came so i can check the snail mail... i think it's easy to say, i'm obsessed and the time is dragging...
I've been following this forum for a long time. I have two questions for everyone.
First, I person called me back in June and with him I did a 3 way call to my lenders to find out what the payout amount would be. Has anyone had this happen to them? I haven't heard anything since, no email, I don't know how to find out if my credits been checked or not :\ So its really stressing me out.
And, has anyone from Oregon been sent an email?
Sounds about right, Amy! So ready to find out!
Mallz, you would have to check your credit report to find out if they checked your credit. Have you been on the website to check your loan dates? Also, I believe there are 3 teams, and I'm not sure that anyone has gotten emails from the red team yet. Maybe you're on that one! It's hard to not be freaking out, but there is definitely still time.

I know it will be less. On the blog from last year, one nurse said 60% actually turns into 40% after taxes! Sucks! But it would still be a huge blessing! The way I think about it, it would give me so much wiggle room financially, even just for the 2-3 years that HRSA would be handling the bills! It would allow the note that I would be paying toward student loans (which is huge) to go to a different debt/note! And then I could pay off other debt so much quicker! So by the end of the 2-3 years when I would have to resume paying the loans, it wouldn't be as much of a burden because more of my debt would be taken care of! Sigh!! I want a letter so bad!
