Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

I would've just died if i would've gotten that email! I am now very very nervous! So if your contract starts in 22 days, how come you have not gotten a letter yet ya think? Because don't the contracts start like 30 days after you receive the letters or am I mistaken? So you really should be getting a letter any day now! I am so jealous, man o man. But good for you! Pray for the rest of us little people!!

Winnie 2012 - I don't see how that post you just posted says anything about the Nursing Education Loan Repayment program. I am just confused, I guess. So is the first one us??? Because that would be awful if only 33 awards went out!! NOOOO!! You're for the faculty program though right? Isn't that a completely separate entity?

I was looking into the whole grant thing too via online at some point, Winnie, and I thought the grants were totally different from us? I don't know. I am just trying to stay positive.

I hope you are right. I thought the monies came from HHS. I am so jealous of all these emails. I emailed my contact and all I got back was yes we received you email. Darn! Good luck everyone!

So which one on that second listed page with all the grant listings by workplace or school are the NELRP repayments for student loans? Which heading is it under?

:yeah:So I emailed HRSA also and I received an email from a rep stating that my paperwork is done and that I have been awarded (that is unofficially of course) because the rep stated l should get the official letter in a week or so. Guess that means they are already signing contracts. OMG! Im sooooo excited but i fear im jinxing myself (pinch- wake up! :heartbeat). Im gonna live outside my house by the mailbox next week on. I hope this is for real. Btw- Gold team, 154%. Goodluck to everyone. :lol2:

That's awesome that they are telling people that they are awarded! Congratulations to all who already know....I hope letters come soon!

WOW! Very exciting news on here:)

I keep praying the letters will be in the mail... I am already checking it right after the mailman leaves... hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Amy we have the same Attn person! I almost wish she updated me this week instead of last! I'm not going to ask her or HRSA anything though. They're doing enough!

Mainly just grants were awarded by the HHS director (whom we are waiting to sign our paper) so we should be hearing something soon; which some luckily are. That's all. Not for sure if it is congruent, but I know this same time last year it was announced, then people started to state they were receiving the letters.

Suzy, I also have the same contact person! She updated me today and didn't tell me anything exciting... Just "You're fine. Try not to worry." What does that mean!? Sooo ready for letters!
