Need 50 student nurse responses for school research project!

Published

Conducting a research project and need to survey 50 other student nurses! The survey is comparing two different learning styles: game-based learning and traditional lecture learning. As student nurses, a lot of us are used to interactive classrooms, working with mannequins, and having the latest and greatest technology in our learning. If you have five minutes, and you're a current student nurse, then please feel free to fill out this survey! Also, feel free to comment below on your thoughts of game-based learning! clear.png

Survey takes less than 5 minutes and is anonymous, thanks in advance guys!!

This research project can't be possible without the opinions of 50 other fabulous student nurses, I look forward to hearing what everyone has to say! (The survey is anonymous!) Thanks so much guys, best of luck in school to everyone!

Quick question: Why are you not surveying the nurses in YOUR program, instead of reaching out to an anonymous internet forum where a truck driver or exotic dancer could be answering you?

Are there at least 50 other students in your nursing class? Of course, since they'd all have the same assignment, LOL, I'd think the results should be MIGHTY similar!

Come to think of it....this really is an absurd assignment. If it's expected that your class not interview EACH OTHER, exactly how many outside nursing students does this instructor think all of you can get in touch with?

If there are 50 in your class, and they are all contacting other nursing programs.....or, worse, honestly, in that they are doing it on an anonymous public forum.....this just seems stupid to me.

Good luck with this!

Sadly, I've sent to my entire universities nursing program. It's an outside class so the nursing students aren't required to reply. I've tried outside resources in hopes to get 50 total survey completions (and I am including this in my limitations of the study that answers might not be credible and in my conclusion). Thankfully, this isn't something that's getting published to a journal it's just an assignment. I am taking it seriously though, and hope that someone who isn't a student nurse or former student completes it with absurd answers.

If I could persuade my classmates (240 of them) better, I would be! I am at 36 so I need 14 more.

I wish I could do the survey for you! I start my first semester of the nursing program next month, so I don't have any experience to give you thoughtful answers.

I do hope some students on this site come by to take the survey though. Normally, the users on this site don't help students with these types of things because these assignments are usually geared toward getting the student nurse out of his/her comfort zone by speaking to actual nurses. This assignment is clearly different. And to top that off, you are even mentioning in your limitations that this could be flawed, so you're being honest.

Kudos for explaining your current population difficulties and acknowledging limitations in your research survey. So many come here just say "do this for me please!!!"

I'm not quite understanding as you keep referring to video games. Do you really mean computer simulation such as high tech programmable mannequins for lab/pre-clinical practice? Virtual simulation labs, such as those used in HS biology for those who cannot or choose to not participate in animal dissection? Interactive video games in lieu of theory lecture such as presentation of clinical information about respiratory conditions in adult medical surgical nursing, pharmacology or psychiatric nursing? Or video games as a supplement or reinforcement to textbook or classroom lecture?
