Waiting on acceptance for upcoming fall only prereqs I'm missing is a&pii...I know nursing school is very busy, my heart is in it so i think learning the information would be more fun than challenging my ? Is ....for this summer schedule should I take a&pii (I still plan to be enrolled 12hrs in the fall anyway...financial aid) or would it be more sufficient if I gaind a cnaii certification just to gain that clinical experience & possibly obtain parttime employment @ a hospital. I am a mother of three w/ a very supportive husband......need help & really want to gain as much experience possible. I plan to further education & become crna!!!! Help me please

clearly you may not have read the Terms of Service for allnurses.com:

"Desiring to maintain professionalism, text speak (also known as chatspeak, txtspk, texting language or txt talk) is discouraged. Along with using proper English spelling and punctuation, this shows respect for the owner, other bulletin board members, guests, and makes it easier to read your message."

No abbreviations & mk sure Shift key capitalizes my "i's"....GOT IT!!! I read hundreds of post on this social site daily that could use some correction but I never take the time out of my day to judge & correct them repeatedly....or to even think that they are uneducated or being disrespectful. I hope no one else discredits my character because AGAIN it was just a post. You can always.....ingore the reading. So IF you feel the urge to ridicule or chastise me instead of offering advice, DONT! I would greatly appreciate. Thank you & have an awesome day

Previous post-ers have even abbreviated, misspelled & used a word out of content.....Really?

All other comments aside, generally one needs to complete ALL requirements before applying for acceptance into a nursing program. If your options re a CNA class that is not required or A&P 2 that is required, my choice would be to take the required course. Know that in many states a nursing student who successfully completes nursing 1/ fundamentals of nursing may be eligible to challenge the CNA exam (sometimes with instructor or program director recommendation). Just pointing out another option.

Thank so much! Was unaware of the challenge offer. Will find out if my institute allow that option. I went ahead & registered this morning for Anatomy & Physiology II. Thanks again

Wait a minute....Thank you, Thank you so much lol have a wonderful day!

Check with the agency who administers the CNA certifications in your state to be certain of the exact requirements so that you are prepared. Some states CNAs are under the board of nursing others, like mine, CNAs are under the department of health. Information for challenging is listed in online. Also, in some states nursing homes offer "free" CNA training in exchange for work post course completion.

I think it would be VERY beneficial to take you A&P 2 in the summer. I currently have all my pre-reqs and I plan on taking classes toward my BSN in the fall along with my nursing classes (easy ones).... financial aid too!!!! Like I said in your other post, I AM SOOOO GLAD I FOUND YOU!!!! **Fayetteville Tech** wooohooo:yeah:

Shut the FRONT DOOR...your post definitely slipped through the cracks....see it now!! Yayyy there is someone out there. I attended the information session on Apr 5th there were roughly about 25 people there, 2 who were in the wrong place (currently LPNs). What type of questions did people in your information session ask? And of course, how was that wonderful math test lol (luckily I got an 80%)? Did you notice this morning on Webadvisor that NUR 111 had a few (1) to no slots....hummm....I wonder what was up with that or was it just a tactic to keep prospective students more nervous. I did register for Fall semester as well...yes, the easy route. Sociology-online (rateyourprofessor.com was helpful) & I need to take Computers because previous course did not transfer. What NUR 111 section are you currently aiming for?

There were about 20 in our info session. The main question that I had was a "I heard" question. I heard a lot about the instructors giving tests that would cause a lot of the students to flunk out . I work at the Health Dept. and we had a student rotate thru our clinic and she was saying how every semester, they would have a test with "teas-like" questions on it and if you didnt do well the second time around, they would flunk you out for the semester. Well I asked, and they do have this type of testing thru Kaplan but it does not determain whether or not yo u stay in the program. They do have periodic math testing (by the way i missed the math test they gave by one stinkin point ugh!!!!) you have two tries to pass those and if you dont then you are out for the semester.. so i need to brush up on that math (my weakness)... I think ppl are registering just to reserve their spot just in case! It doesnt really matter which schedule I get into.. I JUST WANT TO GET IN. Would you possibly know a range they are looking at for the competitive points..??? uggggh this is killing me.
