Shellbie that made me feel much better coming from a classmate!!! It's just crazy how ppl change up on you. I will definately be walking with my head held high, because it's on to bigger and better things for me!! But its just so sad and unfortunate, because I never want to make anybody feel "less than" me. I try to be encouraging and uplifting. I guess I just want the same thing in return.

I really don't want to call anyone a "hater" or "jealous" but I guess it is what it is. You try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I guess you are all right. Especially when I never gave them any reason to act this way toward me in the first place. They can be doing the same things I am doing, I even try to encourage them and show them the ropes of taking that first step. Uggghhhh. It's frustrating but I guess the only thing I can do is MOVE ON.

Yea I guess your right, can't always please everybody. But you would think that being in the same field, that people would be more supportive of one another.

I don't know if it is just me, but I have noticed a change in people's attitudes toward me at work since I have been accepted into nursing school. I work in a place where there are CNA's, Medical Office Assistants, LPN's, RN's, EVERYBODY. I have worked with these people for over five years and I thought I had their support, but ever sense I told them my good news, I have noticed a change. I have caught people giving dirty looks and some people aren't even speaking to me anymore. I do my best not to talk about it, because I think it gets under some people's skin. Now don't get me wrong, there are people who I know are really happy for me and want to see me succeed, but what's the deal with everyone else?? I start school in August, I am so ready to go!! Give me some feedback on how you think I should handle this situation. My feelings are so hurt because I thought these were people who really loved and cared about me.

Hey everybody.. Just got my OFFICIAL acceptance letter for my ADN program that starts in late August in Fayetteville, NC. Medical exam and immunizations are done. Uniforms ordered and embroidered. Registered for classes. What do u all suggest I do to prepare myself more?? I'm so excited and I feel like I should be doing SOMETHING!!! What are some important things i may need to purchase.. Anything... Suggestions!?!?

I hope we get in too and YES I have bought books on pharmacology cause I know that's gonna be a biggie. I also spent money on apps for my iPad and iPhone that are "suppose" to be helpful while in school.. Anyway, the whole process is really confusing and has so many loop holes, never a straight answer. I have had many sleepless nights thinking of the "what ifs". I personally have a lot riding on whether I get accepted. Sometimes I even feel sick to my stomach when I think about it.. Why must they drag us thru all this suspense???? Lol. All of my points total I will be in the mid 60's, so I am praying for a miracle!!

Do you think they may have seperate registration for the LPN to RN students or maybe this is a special registration for ppl who are repeat students.. Idk it all really doesn't make sense.. I don't personally know anyone who is applying so I'm sure about the change in instructors

Well I have no earthly idea why they would be letting ppl register if they haven't accepted anyone.. There are a lot of holes. The only thing that makes sense is that these ppl had to be accepted.. But i am trying to think positive. Kinda makes me nervous. It seems like you all got a lot of information at your session..

There were about 20 in our info session. The main question that I had was a "I heard" question. I heard a lot about the instructors giving tests that would cause a lot of the students to flunk out . I work at the Health Dept. and we had a student rotate thru our clinic and she was saying how every semester, they would have a test with "teas-like" questions on it and if you didnt do well the second time around, they would flunk you out for the semester. Well I asked, and they do have this type of testing thru Kaplan but it does not determain whether or not yo u stay in the program. They do have periodic math testing (by the way i missed the math test they gave by one stinkin point ugh!!!!) you have two tries to pass those and if you dont then you are out for the semester.. so i need to brush up on that math (my weakness)... I think ppl are registering just to reserve their spot just in case! It doesnt really matter which schedule I get into.. I JUST WANT TO GET IN. Would you possibly know a range they are looking at for the competitive points..??? uggggh this is killing me.

I think it would be VERY beneficial to take you A&P 2 in the summer. I currently have all my pre-reqs and I plan on taking classes toward my BSN in the fall along with my nursing classes (easy ones).... financial aid too!!!! OMGEEEE I finally found someone that feels exactly the way I do. I am currently awaiting acceptance at Fayettville Tech. I am am super super nervous. I think we have about 2 wks to go and I am on an emotional roller coaster. I was in the info session that was held on 4/2/12. This is the only school that I applied for. So hopfully I get in and see you there.
