Hey guys,
We have a wonderful nurse apprentice who is graduating in May. She started as a unit clerk, became a CNA, started nursing school and now is our apprentice. She will get her RN and is going to make a wonderful nurse. Truly, she is more competent than a lot of seasoned nurses. We are so proud of her that another nurse and I want to get her something special. Trouble is, we don't want to give her money or a store certificate because we know she will just spend it on her kids. Any ideas? We were thinking about $100-150.

Spa certificate, with all the extras like mani pedi etc. That way she can pamper herself and feel really cute after all the struggles of Nursing school.

If you want something professional, a good stethoscope or a PDA loaded with nursing software. Glad to hear she has fans.

A book "First year as a nurse". I just graduated and was happy to get it.

As a nursing student who will be graduating in May, I have to vote for the Spa day. For me it would be a much appreciated and needed gift!

even better idea is a long list of hospitals who have an opening for a new grad

I like the spa certificate idea. Also, a gift card/certificate to a nursing scrubs store would probably be appreciated.

A white coat with my name and title on it. A goody bag with useful stuff in it. Of course a pedicure/foot massage would be great addition.

As a student that finishes a program in August, I agree with either the spa day or the PDA with the nursing software. Both, to me, would be welcomed gifts. :)

Either a spa day or one of the less expensive Littmanns with the name engraved on it.
