thanks, but i just want to clarify that retrogression has no impact as far as processing for i-140 is concern. processing time depends on w/c service center your file is being processed. the impact of retrogression is in the national visa center and medicals & interview in the us embassy if via consular processing or filing of adj. of status (aos) and employment authorization document (ead) if in the u.s. already via a tourist visa.

Hi,Suzanne and Lawrence!

I just wanted to ask you : my attorney got letter form Nebraska center for additional information for I140 that was sent in July 2006.When I called my attorney and asked what kind of information it is,thay didn't answer me,they just said: don't worry ,we're working on it. I tried few times, but didn't get the answer. It's my right to know ,isn't it? Or may be i'm wrong, and they know what they-re doing and i'm too nosy.

Thank you

Sorry, but it is your right to know. Their mistake on not including everything in the beginning cost you months and months of time.

And they may not know what they are doing. The petition requires specific information from the facility/employer and if anything gets left out, USCIS will be asking for additional information. And you do not know if they will submit things properly this time.

Saw 25 nurses last year that waited for more than 12 months to get approval and they were all denied. Agency told them that USCIS has made changes and they never knew about it. But there were no changes, only errors made by the agency.

If it was me, I would wait until you get a satisfactory answer from them.

Their answer is not good enough for me, means that they made a mess and are trying to clean it up. Or they would have easily told you what they needed to re-submit.

Just noted that you are in the US. Did you go to school here and are on the EAD? I know quite a few that had their I-140 just submitted before the end of October and they have their approval already. Suggest that you have a little talk with your attorney. Especially if you are in the US already.

And did you hire this attorney, or your empoyer?

Hi,Suzanne, thank you so much for your answer.

Yes,I graduated from US school and I'm here on EAD. While i was writing you,my attorney called me back and asked to come and see them . Additional information suppose to be from my hospital,so i need to get this letter from my attorney and bring it to the hospital. So, I'll let you know what's it about. Somebody adviced me my attorney, not empoyer.

Thank you again for your help.

Then that means that you should be 100% in control, since you are paying for their services. And the additional information needed from your employer means that the attorney never submitted what was required in the first place. They need to take some responsibility for the delay.

Hello everyone. I just received my I-140 approval today and I'm so happy. My case was filed last Aug. 1, 2006 at Nebraska Visa Center.
