Please feel free to post here the date when your I-140 petitions were filed and are handled by this Service Center.

Hopefully, this thread would serve as a tracker or updater on how long I-140 petitions are being approved by this Service Center.

Thank you.

hi my pd is 9-26-06 , but until now no approval yet on my i-140.

If you are sure the it is in Nebraska, you may have to wait a little bit more. The way members are posting in this thread, Nebraska processes I-140s on the ave. of 6-10 mos.

hello lawrence,

My notice of reciept is 9-26-06. Last May 18,2007 the proccessing date under skilled and prof of i-140 is Sept 25 2006. I dont know why it went back as of today to Jan 01 2006. i dont know how to retrieve the May 2007 processing dates of NSC. Can you help me?

why is it that the said processing dates went back to Jan 2006 instead of going forward to Dec 2006? Is that the usual protocol? Im discouraged now. Im hoping to catch the relief of retrogression in case my case is approve now. I hope you can enligthen me on this!

thanks.

I would not stress my self out of that. They have been inaccurate before (lots of reports of I-140s being approved even though the dates reported there are still stuck in a much later date) and if you'll go back to the recent report and read their notice, they have admitted that the reports has not been real-time or accurate and they are in the process of making all their future reports accurate. And if you'll check on Texas Service Center, it even went back as far as 2003. I would not make something out of it at the moment.

Plus, of course the Schedule A Category was already deleted from the Visa Bulletin a few months ago. Thousands of I-140s for nurses has already been approved in 2006.

The only thing I can recommend is to check your case status on-line by going to http://www.uscis.gov and enter your case number on the Check Case Status option found on the lower right side of the webpage.

Another way of doing it is by creating a customer portfolio account w/ USCIS (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp) and select to send an automatic report via e-mail as soon as their is activity in your case. If gets approved, they send an automatic e-mail to you saying so. If they need a Request for Further Evidence (RFE) you get sent an e-mail as well automatically. Once activated, you only need to wait for the e-mails telling your case status, so far. You can also just choose to go to your portfolio account and see your case status. It will say 'pending', 'approved', needs 'RFE', etc..

The processing dates page should only be used a as rough guide.

thanks you so much lawrence01. your admonitions were all carried seriously for my offensive move.

Just noted that you are in the US. Did you go to school here and are on the EAD? I know quite a few that had their I-140 just submitted before the end of October and they have their approval already. Suggest that you have a little talk with your attorney. Especially if you are in the US already.

And did you hire this attorney, or your empoyer?

Hello Suzanne 4,

Are you saying that if you went to school here, you can get approval faster? Just a question. I am on OPT now and will be filing my 1-140 this July to early August. Another question is after they approve your 1-140, will they also give you authorization to work at that time too.

Hi Lawrence!

My I-140 was approved last May 2006. Will my paper be affected by the retrogression of processing dates in Nebraska service center?

hi lawrence!

my i-140 was approved last may 2006. will my paper be affected by the retrogression of processing dates in nebraska service center?

we are not even sure yet if it does. the report was just recently posted and the processing dates being posted there ever since aren't really accurate in the 1st place for reasons i just mentioned in a recent post. it has never reflected accurately actual processing times as far as i-140s are concerned. that was the reason for the notice that you can read from that recent report. this was also the reason why we started our own nebraska and texas service center tracker for i-140's . nurses keeps reporting i-140s' being approved even though the dates posted in their reports has dates that seems to be stuck for a long time.

have you recently checked your case status on-line by providing your case number ?? there was a member here that has a pd date of july, 2006 and her file was seen by the nebraska service center. she was a given a rfe but nonetheless her file was seen and reviewed. if her file was complete, it would have been approved or if her agency sent the additional documents it would have been approved as well. fact is, her case that was filed last july, 2006 ( click this link) was seen and reviewed. you have a much earlier date so yours should have been reviewed as well. please check your case status on-line by entering your case number on the lower right side of the page and please update us.

good luck.

Hi,Suzanne and Lawrence! Thank you for your help.

My question is:

I'm in US awaiting for GC .I-140 was approved in may,2007. I went to school here, and working on EAD

I sent AOS in July ,2006. I'm checking uscis site every day,but there are no changes since I sent it:

Current Status: Case received and pending.

"On July 25, 2006, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location.... "

Do you think I have any chance to get GC soon?

Thank you again

Hi Lawrence! This is the ststus of my I-140 as shown in the USCIS website:

Current Status: Approval notice sent

On May 30, 2006, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I-140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER.

It was approved then, since last year. I got mixed-up a bit. You do not even have to look at the Service Centers. Your case was out of there since last year. It's suppose to be in the National Visa Center (NVC) since last year. Once approved, your case is transferred to NVC in just a few weeks time. Are you done w/ the visa fee bill and the DS-230 forms??

Thanks for replying.

My agency told me that they were just waiting for retrogression to be lifted in order for them to pay the visa fee bill. Last week, due to the additional 130,000 visas, they told me that they will now be able to pay the bill and update my case at NVC.

Again, thank you, Lawrence, for all the info!
