I just graduated on December 12th 2012. I received my ATT on the 28th of Dec and scheduled my NCLEX-RN for today Jan 3, 2013.

From the moment I graduated I began studying (for about 20 days) and I took the Kaplan course the very next day after graduation! I took the Diagnostic and got a 67% which I was told was really good. Here are the rest of my scores

Qbank-450 questions answered, 60% avg

QT1-63%

QT2-59%

QT3-57%-worried

QT4-61%

QT5-Skipped!

QT6-64%-tired of studying-when I got this score I scheduled!

QT7-Skipped! Studying is sooo overrated, LOL!

Readiness Score-64.5%-taken on/around study day 5

I have read so many stories of others studying for months at a time. I'm the type of person who goes all in when I study. I studied from the moment I woke up until the moment I fell asleep with my laptop in my lap. At this moment my neck is in agony from staring at a computer screen so much and I think I lost some vision too, LOL! But I have to be honest...I was scared to take it as soon as I did. But I also didn't think I could be any more prepared.

I didn't use ANY other formal study guides! Just the Kaplan course materials and the "Study Guide" that is floating around this website.

I went to the test center in a daze not believing this was actually happening and I had the same thought as I was sitting there testing. I was praying SO HARD for the test to end @ 75 questions! I clicked "next" answering question #75 and then question #76 was there! I wanted to fall out of my chair! Lol! I said to myself I just need to get the next questions right because my life depended on it (Dramaqueen I know)! I really didn't want to go to 265! I answered that question and had a SATA next. My test screen went blue at question #77! I didn't feel like crying like a lot of people. I felt like I did my best and I hoped it showed!

As I was walking to my car I tried the PVT. And I got this message: "Delivery successful...Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

So I think this means I'm an RN!!!:D

All you have to do is log back into your Pearson Vue account and try to register for the NCLEX again. If it asks for your credit card info then that's the bad pop up. Meaning you need to take it again.

My ATI said I had a 90% chance of passing. Forgot to mention that for those who used ATI.

Thanks!!! I think your Kaplan Scores are great! Similar to mine. I think you should try QT6/7 a week before the exam. But you sound well on your way! Go over questions you got wrong. Create a Qbank quiz with only questions you answered incorrectly. I learned a lot doing this! Remember the strategy from Kaplan and have confidence in yourself. It is so easy to sike yourself out when clearly you are ready! Good Luck! You got it! :-) I sent the study guide to you.

Thank you so much for that boost of confidence & sending me the guide!!!....Yes I am finally getting a hang of the Kaplan Decision Tree So I just tried a qbank quiz on that got a 64% but helped me select answers I never would have thought to select lol...

And IDK if you can address this myth but I've heard that Kaplan questions are WAAAYYYY Harder?? is that true?

I really think its depends on how well you are doing as to whether or not the questions are harder than Kaplan. If you are just breaking the upper division/lower division line i can see how it may seem easier. I think i was high in the upper division which is why I got almost the minimum amount of questions. I had SO MANY SATA i couldn't even count, drugs I never heard of and I'm great with pharm, no med cal which I'm really good at, 2 EKG strips, and a drag and drop. I would say it was about even with Kaplan. I did have a few easy ?'s which I was thankful for but I thought it was about even. I have to say I felt like I passed! Not that I knocked it out of the park but I felt like I got a lot of upper level questions and I got more right than wrong. But the PVT works almost immediately. Tried it about 5 mins afterwards.

I also thought QT6 was easier than the Qbank questions.

I will say this. I think the Qbank was harder than the NCLEX. I think that the QT's were more comparable to the NCLEX. And the SATA was WAY easier on the NCLEX. So have no fear ;-) Lol!

Hello! I'm scheduled for taking my Nclex exam this February 13. And I feel lost. I scored 49% on my QT1 and 60 on my QT2 and 3. My live classes will start on the 9th. Do u have any techniques on how to study? Congrats btw on passing ! :)
