NCLEX RN - fact or myth? confused can't sleep!!

ok so this has been bothering me for sometime:sfxpld: is it true that if you get alot of SATA, you have a big chance of passing the exam? and if you get the last question wrong, you failed the exam.. im so confused and scared :crying2: end up getting sick after i took my exam..stopped at #79[im telling you, felt as if my heart also stopped.then i got sad] ,i only got 7 sata,no math, got drugs i don't even know and some never heard of.. and i got my last question wrong.. i picked the wrong answer!! :uhoh3: and another thing, don't have anybody to talk to.. so im getting really depressed! this is my second time to take the exam and im starting to think that i am such a dumb girl for failing AGAIN! i hate seeing my parents sad because of me.. :o just wanna jump of a cliff.. sorry about the drama guys.. im just really scared and confused.. and the whole last question stuff really bites :banghead::scrying: i soo wanna be a nurse.. so i can help my family. so sad i failed again:o damn last question!:angryfire

Unfortunately I don't have my results yet. I took mine 2 weeks ago and so I've accepted that I didn't pass. I wish you and everyone luck in waiting for your results. Since you took yours on the 17th it's way to early to see if your name is on it, so don't think you failed! Hang in there and keep yourself occupied!

Good luck and let us know how you did!!!!

don't worry ... just pray ... and try to divert your attention, there is nothing you can do right now but wait for the results ... crying and being depressed will not help you pass, so just try to not think about it for now ... go out and have fun ... im sure your parents will still love you the same, no matter what the result is ... goodluck!

SATA questions are a format style only, they are not all automatically considered to be at a higher level.

85% pass the first time that they test.

Never assume anything until you get your results. If you do not believe me, spend sometime looking at threads where the person posted that they just knew that they had flunked the exam and wanted to get started on preparing as soon as possible, or how do they register for a re-take. And the majority come back and state that they found out that they passed the exam in the first place.

You only have to wait until tomorrow to get your results if I remember correctly. Will be looking for that thread.

Suzanne4,

I think you could start a t-shirt business with this saying! Think about it, people would pay for it. Can you imagine everyone showing up to take NCLEX wearing a t-shirt saying "85% pass the first time that they test." LOL! That would be awesome!

Hang in there!! I am sure that you did just fine! But I know what you mean about not wanting to let you family down. I have let my family down 3 times because I haven't passed. And they are all sad and depressed and now they are just upset and it is the hardest thing ever for me to deal with. So if you ever need anyone to talk to please let me know because I understand what you are going through on that aspect! I will be praying for you and your results when they come. Just remember if you passed then great! and if not then you get back up and you try again! We are going to be great RNs one day and nothing is going to stop us!! Best of Luck!!

hi everyone! Im new here and was so glad to find a thread about my current predicament. I just took my nclex rn exam this morning. I am praying so much that i can make it. hu hu hu hu.....I got 76 questions and Im pretty sure the last question I answered wrong. Of all questions, why the ones I did not focused on my review are the ones which showed up on the CAT nclex- rn exam. But for the preceding questions before the 76th turned off - I am convinced that I chose the most needed answer based on Asses- Impl, Physic/Psych, Maslow's Hierarchy guide... Oh please...Im losing hope and Im getting numb for the thought of this.... Is it true that there are RN's who did passed Nclex-RN exam even if they got the last question of CAT test wrong??? Please help!!!!:redbeathe - I might end up at the psyche now... God knows how I read and practiced lots of exam questions....
