Toledo Area RN Jobs
I am currently working at a smaller hospital outside of Toledo. I am thinking about switching to a different hospital to get more experience. I am currently working on a med/surg floor and I have learned a lot, but I am ready to move on and learn more. I would really like to work in and ICU or a PACU setting I think but I am not sure. Does anyone out there have any advice or any suggestions on where to work or what area to go into? Please let me know what you think!! Thanks so much!!

I finally passed!! Officially an RN!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
The trick is really easy to do. If you click on the forum that is talking about it all it gives you the instructions on exactly how to do it and what you should get. If you get the pop-up then that means that you passed. If it goes straight to the credit card page then you didn't pass. But all the info is in the forum! Good luck to you!!

I finally passed!! Officially an RN!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Hello all!! It is my wonderful pleasure to tell you all that I found out yesterday morning that I did pass!! It was my 4th time and I was so ready for it to happen! I has been over a year since I have gotten out of nursing school and started this journey of getting my RN license. I am still in shock when I think about it! I took my exam for the 4th time Wednesday morning and it shut off around question 120. I can't tell you for sure what number because I was really expecting it to go all the way to 265 so I took a break at 100 and then remember looking up at the screen and seeing 119 and then looked down did a few more questions and the screen went blank. I have never had a feeling like that before. My brain froze, my heart stopped, and I just didn't know what to think. I honestly thought the whole time that I was taking the exam that I was failing haha! I kept getting select all that apply and I thought that those were low level questions so I was freaking out. But as I got toward my final question I thought that I was doing a pretty good job. I thought that I was on way back to the competency line. I had a feeling that I was going to pass because I just didn't think that it was possible for me to fail at that point. So I went to my car and cried because I was just in genuine shock over everything. I went home and I just relaxed for a little while and after a few hours I call my boyfriend and I had him go on the pearson vue website and do the trick. I was too afraid to do it myself so I wanted him to do it before I did and then let me know. Well he filled out all the info and then he told me to go ahead and look. I just wanted him to tell me if he saw the pop-up but he told me that I had to look. So I looked at the computer and saw the pop-up and just fell to the floor in tears!! I have never been so happy in my entire life!! The next day I looked on the board of nursing website and saw that I had a registered nurses licenses and my quick results said that I had passed!! I am honestly so incredibly blessed!! I have worked so hard and I am so glad and relieved that it finally has paid off!!! I would have to say that the turning point in all of this was when I finally admitted to myself that I wasn't putting in the effort that I needed to to study and pass this exam. I had taken kaplan before and I didn't really think that it helped and I had tried to study on my own, but nothing really worked. I think alot of it had to do with the fact that I wasn't putting in 100% of my effort into it. I think that for a long time I thought that I would just get through it eventually and that I didn't need to study all the time or put all my effort into it. I originally blamed my failure on being a bad test taker and having test anxiety, which I do believe is a factor, but not the major one. A few months ago I finally admitted to myself that I needed to learn the material, the core content as Aunt Marlene calls it!! I decided that I was going to try HURST review and let me tell you it was a fabulous decision!! Hurst review is one of the most awesome courses I have ever taken! Aunt Marlene taught me things in a way that was easy to understand and fun to learn, plus easy to comitt to memory! I would recommend her course to anyone who is struggling with passing!! With the help of Marlene and ExamCram, as well as my friends, family, boyfriend, this website, and ultimatly God I managed to put the pedal to the metal and get the license I had been so long working for!! I want to thank all of you on this website, all the people who responded to my threads, and all those who gave me encouragment!! I can not tell you how much it helped me and how much it meant to me!! When I failed the first time I was completely devistated and I thought I was the only person in the world who failed and I found this website and what a blessing it has been!! I have found friends on here and found people who are struggling and who have succeeded just like I have!! For those of you who are still trying don't give up!! It will happen for you!! God's timing is not our timing!! And trust me that is the hardest thing in the world to accept but you just have to trust that God will make things happen and it will be the best for you even though you don't agree at the time. For those of you who are still struggling or need some encouragement please contact me!! I am willing to help you with whatever you need, whether it be advice, to vent or chat, or just a prayer. Please don't hesitate to ask!! Most of all please don't ever give up!! I know how devistating multiple failures can be and how frustrating it is! I know how hard it is to come back and keep studying and watching all your nursing friends who have already passed and who have jobs go on with their lives while you are still stuck trying to pass. Please don't give up!! You can do this!! you just have to have faith, family, and good friends to support you along the way!! If I can become an RN so can you!! Again THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for all of your help!! I wouldn't have been able to do this without you!! If anyone ever needs anything please feel free to ask!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! I AM OFFICIALLY AN RN!!:loveya::loveya::loveya: MUCH LOVE!!! -Leah McElrath, RN:nurse:

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I take the NCLEX on Wednesday day....how soon can you check the website after you take the exam?? I have to wait 48hrs for my results but I have already failed 3 times before and I don't want to have super anxiety waiting for my results so I was curious to how long you have to wait til you can re-register and the trick will work???

Taking NCLEX for the 4th time Wednesday!!
My story goes as follows.....It has been over a year since I have graduated nursing school and I have taken the NCLEX 3 times and failed. First time 75 questions, second and third time 265. I have taken kaplan, which was no help, then retook it becuase it was free, and now I have done Hurst Review and Exam Cram both. I have put in way more time than my previous attempts and I feel more confident and ready to take the exam. It is so nerve racking and scary to think that I have to go through this process again but I am hoping that this is the last time that I will have to go into that testing room and take this stupid exam!! Please keep me in your prayers!! I will post my outcome as soon as I find out!! Thanks so much for all the support this site has been such a great source of positive encouragement and support!! :loveya:

NCLEX Nerves....PLEASE HELP!!
I am scheduled to take my NCLEX for the 4th time next week. I am so incredibly scared and nervous. I have been thinking about rescheduling but I do not know what do. I don't want to put it off even longer but all I want to do is pass. After failing my 3rd time I decided to take a little time away and then enrolled myself in HURST review. I love this course. It is amazing. I have learned so much and I feel like I am so much more prepared that I have been for my previous attempts. I am also trying out ExamCram. I have been doing their questions and I found that they are hard but I am getting a decent amount right. So here is the dilema......should I take NCLEX next week or should I wait a little while longer until I feel confident that I am going to pass with no doubts. This journey has been such a long one for me and all I want is for it to be over. I do not want to go through the agony of not passing again. Please if you would give me your thoughts. I know that I am the one who determines the final decision but I was just curious what other people might think. This website has been so helpful to me throughout my journey and I was hoping for some more help.

Exam Cram or Hurst Review??
I have been doing a lot of research and trying to figure out what the best option for me is. I have looked at both and read reviews on both and I just can't decide which one would be the best choice. I want to find a good source of content review and I don't know which would be better?? I want it to be straight forward and as easy to understand as possible!! Obviously there is a huge price difference between the 2 but I am not really worried about that. I would rather pay the more money for a better product if that is what it takes. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on which one would be better to help me pass??? Please let me know what you think. Thanks a bunch!!
