Hi there!

Oh well, I took mine last Feb.17, and I stopped at number 76. Like you I was so scared and confused at the same time. I so wanted to pass this exam too!

I really don't know if the basis for passing the exam was to get the the last question right, now I'm getting scared like you cos I can't rememeber what was my last question and if I got it right or not...

But let's just believe in miracles girl.

We'll get through this, have faith!:nuke:

Specializes in NICU, Post-partum.

I'm a student, so obviously I have never taken the NCLEX.

However, several people that have passed the NCLEX have posted on this board that they have got no SATA.

I had a friend that took it Monday...passed at 76 questions, and she said that hers was all pharmacology and Pediatrics....which she said she was not prepared for, so she was sure she failed.

The "last question right" is a myth...b/c the NCLEX also has questions that they are testing that don't count at all...and you don't know where they will put them in the shuffle.

I stopped @ 75 and not a single SATA :)

I also know someone who got the last question wrong yet she passed. Just relax and trust God on the results. Let us know how it goes.

God bless!

FACTS:

Number of questions does not determine pass or fail. Impossible to guess.

SATA questions are only a format style, they do not say anything else about the level of question.

Number of SATA questions on an exam has no bearing on the results.

The exam will usually focus on your weak points.

Getting the last question right or wrong will not determine your results.

Hope that this helps.

I know how you feel about being depressed, scared, and confused, and feeling lonely because you don't have anyone to talk to. I took mine yesterday and left completely in a daze, dumbfounded, and and disheartened. I had 4-5 SATA which I am horrible at, some medications which one of them i didn't know. I didn't get any delegation but a lot of prirotity-who are you going to see first, what are you going to do first. I think I failed too. My instructors in nursing school told me they went to a seminar about nclex and were told that if you get SATA you are getting high level exam questions, but I don't think that is true. I think they are just another way to form a question. Yes, they are harder, but not just because they are a high level question. I spent all day in tears, upset, sick to my stomach, heart racing and skipping around, and not enough sleep, and then to top it off, my husband told me that I sucked and he is not speaking to me. I feel totally alone. I just prayed to God to help me get through it whatever the outcome is and help me accept it and then I will pick myself up again and try again. That is all we can do really. So right now I'm going to say a prayer for you because you feel lonely and I know God can carry you through this.:icon_hug::icon_hug:

I know how you feel, I just took my NCLEX-RN on Feb. 10th with about 190+ questions, and I def. got the last question wrong. The worst part is that I know I failed, its been over a week and my name is not on the BON site so i'm already accepting failure, the only thing I can look forward to or have any chance of hope are the official results in the mail, which have not come in yet. Anyways, goodluck and i'm sure you did fine, my fingers are crossed for you.

SATA questions are a format style only, they are not all automatically considered to be at a higher level.

85% pass the first time that they test.

Never assume anything until you get your results. If you do not believe me, spend sometime looking at threads where the person posted that they just knew that they had flunked the exam and wanted to get started on preparing as soon as possible, or how do they register for a re-take. And the majority come back and state that they found out that they passed the exam in the first place.

You only have to wait until tomorrow to get your results if I remember correctly. Will be looking for that thread.

Guys just relax and wait 4 the results. I agree with the previous postings, with this exam it is difficult to predict the outcome/results. Do not stress it too much, I am sure u guys will b celebrating the good news soon. Keep us posted.

thank you so much!!! you're right.. no use crying when i don't even know the result yet..:chair: i Pray to God that all of us will be just fine

I agree with everyone here! Darthgirl, try and keep yourself busy and try and give yourself a much needed break. I know the wait is a killer so its understandable to feel like you're going crazy. I couldn't sleep, eat or do anything. So try and hang in there!

As for the types of questions, honestly I have so many friends that passed on 75 and failed at 75. And had certain types of questions that were all different from eachother and the results were varied. So, what I'm getting at is that you can't really try and figure out what's passing and what isn't. Believe me, I tried to do the same.

Good luck

so how did you do? praying for you. i hope i made it too! i took mine on feb17. and i checked the website today but my name wasnt there. huhuh im starting to think i failed.
