Hi !im taking nclex rn examination .im just wondering if there Is a possibility that the test score might change? for example your BON has online exam look up the result is on and in the pearson vue your score is still not available.is there a chance it could change? just hoping for the best .I also have read that For quality control purposes, every NCLEX is scored twice; once by the computer at the test center and then after the exam record has been transmitted to Pearson VUE.

If your state does not participate in quick results it will say "results unavailable" in perpetuity. The second score is completed within 24 hours of test completion. Some are completed within hours of the exam. Both scores are done by Pearson as it's a Pearson Vue test center...not one by the test center one by Pearson. One is completed as you finish your test. The second QC score is completed after the results are securely transmitted to the main data center. If your results are posted on the BoN website that would be accurate. Pearson Vue does not submit the results to a board of nursing until the second confirmatory scoring has been completed.

I'm sorry, if the BoN website states that you fail, you failed. It's not going to change while in transit from the USPS to your house because you cross your fingers. The BoN is the definitive source as to whether you are eligible for licensing. The BoN website is an official result/source.

If your BoN website shows you passed...then you passed, if the BoN shows you failed, then you failed. They are the ones who ultimately issue the license to those who passed.
The BoN gets the results of the test from PearsonVue.
The BoN is not going to just going to guess and say you passed (or failed) without having the results sent to them by PearsonVue.
Some State BoN do post licenses before Quick Results are even available. My State is slower and we got our results from the Quick Results option. I've never heard of anyone getting a 'pass' result from quick results and then the State says you failed, nor have I seen a person get a 'fail' result from quick results and then the State saying they passed.
I know someone that passed the NCLEX but was denied the license. They still passed. Both PV & BoN indicated an NCLEX pass. Pesky felony charges between initial application and BoN review of file prior to issuing a license was what caused the issue, no crossed fingers necessary. Failure to disclose said felony sealed this candidate's fate.
If the BoN database says "fail", I'm sorry you failed

If you have two scores and one of the still waiting for results?
Please clarify. It's not clear what you are asking
